To promote a new salt and sugar reduction (RSS) dietary culture and living style to the people of Hong Kong, the Environment and Ecology Bureau, the Committee on Reduction of Salt and Sugar in Food and the Centre for Food Safety of the Food and Environmental Hygiene Department have launched the "Less-Salt-and-Sugar Restaurants Scheme" ("Scheme"). Restaurants participated in the Scheme will offer less salt or sugar options to the consumer or even tailor-make less salt or sugar dishes in designated restaurants. Participating restaurants will be granted with the Scheme Labels for displaying in the premises for public identification. 這裡,可以寫的故事太多了,人情味、師傅故事、蛇羹...不敘了,這裡有明報出版社出版的食舖與餐廳逸事,埋單時可以買本走,作者在時可以(她也可算是半個專奇人物)請她親筆簽名。吃了多日快餐式食物,見到餐牌上一些懷舊菜時,自然有著說不出的感動,只是胃納有限,想叫碗糯米飯及蛇羹,最後只能選擇後者。蛇羹是稀身的太史五蛇羹,沒有加菊花,老闆娘解釋道菊花有農藥,堅決唔加,偶是覺得有點可惜,出得街吃也預了是「眼不見為淨」。配料有花膠(唔知公定母)、蛇肉、雞絲、冬菇、鮑魚絲,如國金的五蛇羹般料重於湯。湯是稀身而帶著獨特甜味,材料都是切成片狀,吃落也不會有「一件大一件細」的格格不入感覺,喝完幾啖湯,剩下7成滿的料,平民版的蛇羹而言,這裡交足貨了。吃蛇羹,如果要吃打欠式的,還不如吃這款真材實料,而非雲吞吞的清湯而足料版。
