To encourage eatery outlets to reduce food waste at source together with customers through offering portioned meals and adopting food waste reduction measures, the Environmental Protection Department has launched the “Food Wise Eateries” Scheme. Participants will be awarded with a Food Wise Eateries (FWE) accreditation status if they comply with the assessment criteria and will be granted with the FWE Logo and Stickers for displaying in the premises and their promotion for public identification. Applications are accepted all year round and are FREE of charge.

To promote a new salt and sugar reduction (RSS) dietary culture and living style to the people of Hong Kong, the Environment and Ecology Bureau, the Committee on Reduction of Salt and Sugar in Food and the Centre for Food Safety of the Food and Environmental Hygiene Department have launched the "Less-Salt-and-Sugar Restaurants Scheme" ("Scheme"). Restaurants participated in the Scheme will offer less salt or sugar options to the consumer or even tailor-make less salt or sugar dishes in designated restaurants. Participating restaurants will be granted with the Scheme Labels for displaying in the premises for public identification. 1. 餐廳職員服務態度非常差點單時,幾樣菜式都售罄,再問職員有咩菜式有,職員答:「你嗌嗰幾樣嘢冇囉。」態度非常惡劣。我哋叫咗片皮鴨•鮑魚•龍蝦超值回饋宴,套餐有椰汁馬豆糕,後尾上甜品時,職員聲稱椰汁馬豆糕已售罄,要轉咖啡糕或杏仁茶。 我哋一開始就已經點咗呢個餐,唔係應該已經留起比叫咗套餐嘅客人咩?點解會話賣哂?會預唔夠份量?再者,我哋要求要同店長傾,職員講:「你叫店長都冇用㗎啦!」咖啡糕同杏仁茶我哋真係唔啱食,問有冇紅荳沙,職員再講:「今日啲紅荳沙唔靚,食咖啡糕啦!」呢啲究竟係咩態度?餐牌嘅嘢食貨不對版,19:30嚟到已經有幾樣菜式話賣哂,食到最後竟然連餐嘅馬荳糕都冇!個餐一早已經叫咗,竟然話賣哂,而且態度仲要咁差。2. 嘢食份量少又唔好食我哋今次一行9人,叫咗12人嘅片皮鴨•鮑魚•龍蝦超值回饋宴,原本諗住食唔哂就打包,點知我哋食完個餐,都完全唔覺得飽,之後再要散叫多2個飯同一個餸先頂到肚,佢個12人餐份量會唔會少得可憐⋯⋯個餐啲嘢食味道仲要好淡,個雞絲羹仲要怪怪地味,真係飲唔落。中肯啲,散叫嘅嘢味道就還可以,但個餐就完全唔掂呀!總之今次體驗非常差,請我去都唔會再去!
