今次已經是第三次光顧The Delhi Club,食物正宗又出色不用多說。但今次要第一次感動到要寫食評,是因為其超出色、出乎意料的服務,勁過劉華星期日晚上大約6:30pm到達餐廳,唔使等位。唔知係咪剛換了枱枱櫈櫈,所有野都好乾淨。晚餐點了雞肉馬沙拉(推介!)、魚korma、蒜香烤餅(推介!)、牛油烤餅。食左唔夠10分鐘,我笨拙地將成杯Mango Lassi (芒果乳酪飲品)一踭批左埋牆,玻璃杯撞牆爆破,芒果汁一牆一地都係.....換著o係一般香港餐廳發生,一定會預左侍應西面,心中一慌。點知,爆芒事件發生之後,兩個服務員飛埋黎,完全冇怪責ge眼神同語氣,首先問ge係我有冇事、有冇受傷,問左好多次,然後迅速執走d碎片,然後二話不說送上一杯新ge芒果乳酪 (換轉就算係o係Starbucks自己倒瀉杯野,人地睬Q你都傻)。當我仲非常唔好意思,不斷sorry sorry之際,佢地仲叫我唔使唔好意思,玻璃爛左可以買返,最緊要係我冇事.... This is the third time we've had dinner at The Delhi Club. It's always been our favourite restaurant at Chung Kung mansion - food is amazing and authentic, restaurant interior is clean and hygienic despite the general environs of Chung King Mansion, and service is efficient.
What really made me want to write my first ever food review though was their incredible customer service, excellent and totally unexpected. It gave me newfound respect for this tucked-away foodie heaven.
At dinner today, we ordered Chicken Masala (excellent), Fish Korma (nice and creamy) accompanied by Garlic Naan (very fragrant and tasty) and Butter Naan (slightly greasy but a great complement for the Masala). Just 10 minutes into dinner, I clumsily knocked over my almost-full glass of Mango Lassi, sending the glass flying against the wall, smashing the glass and spilling Mango Lassi all over the tiled wall and onto the floor. The staff came flying over, but instead of giving the 'tut-tuts' of disapproval as one would expect from Hong Kong restaurants, they sincerely showed their concern and asked if I was hurt. They very quickly removed the broken glass and replaced it with a new glass of fresh Mango Lassi, cleared up the scene without a word of complaint. In response to my profuse apologies, they simply said, 'please please, don't apologise. You are our top priority. Don't worry about the glass!'
