Whenever I think of fresh handmade pasta, Pici is the first place that comes to mind. 😌
Today happened to be the 2nd last day of their special Seafood Volume 2.0 menu, so my dining companion and I, particularly hungry, decided to indulge in the tasting menu. This delightful option includes two starters, three pasta dishes, and two desserts.

The August seafood special featured two main dishes: the prawn special, Ravioli Gamberi, and Tagliatelle Blue Lobster. The side special was a Pink Prawn Tartare, while the dessert special was a tempting Banana Tiramisu. From this menu, we chose the Ravioli and the Banana Tiramisu, alongside our usual favorites: Burrata Cheese and Tuna Tartare for starters, and Orecchiette ‘Nduja and Pappardelle Beef Cheek for mains. We opted for the classic Panna Cotta as our second dessert, as we already had the Tiramisu.

🍝Orecchiette ‘Nduja ⭐️⭐️⭐️
Always cooked to perfection, this dish offered a delightful al dente texture with a pleasant spicy kick.

🍝Ravioli Gamberi ⭐️⭐️
This dish felt quite fusion-inspired, reminiscent of wontons. The filling was generous and flavorful, making it a standout choice for a special menu.

🍝Pappardelle Beef Cheek ⭐️
While the texture was impeccable, this pasta dish arrived last and felt a bit bland compared to the others. I believe it would have benefited from being served earlier or could have used a touch more salt.

🍰Banana Tiramisu ⭐️
Overall, this dessert resembled a delicious banana pudding rather than a traditional tiramisu, lacking the coffee liqueur base and chocolate powder on top.

🍰Panna Cotta ⭐️⭐️
A classic cream dessert topped with strawberries, this dish is a reliable choice that never disappoints.

Overall, we had a good experience at Pici. You can’t go wrong when choosing this spot for pasta!
