Every dishes we had taste as beautiful as they look. No, they actually surpass their appearance. We ordered tiger prawns linguine, maitake & okra spaghetti, and apple filo. For starters, we had edamame, a fitting refreshment as the other dishes are highly rich in flavours.Craftsmanship is in the selection of ingredients – Be they seafood or veggies, all incredibly fresh and deliver the right amount of nuance midst the savoury blend of sauce and pasta. I was gladly surprised by the maitake spaghe
Craftsmanship is in the selection of ingredients – Be they seafood or veggies, all incredibly fresh and deliver the right amount of nuance midst the savoury blend of sauce and pasta. I was gladly surprised by the maitake spaghetti. Because of the consistency with the buttery complements, I didn’t realise the sauce contains miso at first. Of course, one would not have missed the earthy aftertaste.
Our mood was brightened up by the main courses. At this point, we merely craved for sugars, and the filo caught us off-guard. Not only it smells like Autumn apples in a market, the hot and crispy filo base, still-chewy green apple slices, diced almonds and a scope of ice-cream amount to a kaleidoscope of textures. We concluded that the filo is none less amazing than the rest.
The place isn’t large but the interior was generous with space, so good for a comfy night out with friends. Although there is only one food server, they were professional and extremely attentive, to the extent I felt like we were treated like nobles. It could be quite hard to find a genuinely friendly waiter in Hong Kong, where most restaurants want their customers to pay and vanish as fast as they can. So, that is much appreciated.
