Poor service andwould've gottengotten value.

We ordered some simple dishes: Cold noodles in broth (mul naengmyun), marinated beef (bulgogi), and sauteed spicy pork with kimchee & tofu (jaeyook bokum).

The 2 orders of beef could not have been more than 4oz total for $180. We actually thought a 2nd portion was coming (wrong!). What made it worse was that it wwasn't marinated with care. You could tell it was done after a rapid defrost because the the slices were stuck together, not allowing the marinade to penetrate the beef. Moreover, they shredded a portion of it into pieces tiny enough to fall through the grates on the tabletop grill (and the cooking grill was the wrong type).

The pork/kimchee had 4 small pieces of meat (sangyupsal). A proper dish would have had at least a 50/50 ratio. I've never eaten at such a stingy restaurant.

Naengmyun was passable, but the mustard looked old. It wouldn't dissolve in the broth like God intended. Almost as if it's shelf life had expired.

Quality of the beef was poor. Pork/kimchee was ok. Naengmyun, so so.

And the service... you'd think that we, as native speakers, would've gotten better service. Nope. Largely ignored and treated disrespectfully. I guess we should've been greatful to be allowed inside.
