The hot chocolate was so thick in texture that it didn't seem like a "drink". It was like eating a cupful of chocolate fondue, with strong hints of berry. A 70% dark chocolate disc melts into the cup as it is served and adds a bit of bitterness to balance the sweet fruity flavour of the hot chocolate. Not bad, although the chocolate used was a bit too sour for my liking.
The cold chocolate drink was a lot less fruity and although it was much richer than average cold chocolate on the market, it tasted much closer to what one would expect of a "standard" chocolate drink than the hot chocolate. After trying these 2 drinks (which I shared with 1 friend) I drank some water to clear my palate in preperation for trying some chocolates. I wish I had ordered the plain premium chocolate squares instead of these specialties from the "premium jar" collection because none of them really impressed me, perhaps except for the "premium sparks" variety which contained some "pop" candy that caused "sparks" in the mouth (not too strong though). The "mallows" chocolate was probably the most disappointing because although it was supposed to have "marshmallow" inside, I felt more like I was eating chalk wrapped in chocolate. The "marshmallow" was hard and flavourless.

By this time I felt like I've had enough chocolate to last me a week. But as I left I was not able to resist purchasing one of the cute lollipop shaped chocolate coated marshmallows in the little air-conditioined glass room. I bought myself the mango flavoured marshmallow that had "pop" candy sprinkled on one side. The "aftertaste" of this chocolate experience lasted for the rest of my day and to my surprise- although I thought that I'd scoffed down ENOUGH chocolate, I had an urge to have more chocolate as soon as I got home!
So glad that I bought the chocolate coated marshmallow at the end- because the chocolate coat was pretty nice (although the marshmallow didn't really have much taste of "mango") and satisfied my late night chocolate craving

Oh and because this place is at the Fenwick Pier you also get a harbour view.
