Finally the hype is gone, no more line ups. Looking at the menu, I was quite amazed by their savory waffles. Chicken satay waffles and thai prawn curry waffles??! Wow that was, um…innovative, but it's my first time here I better stick with their originals. Us 3 gals ordered a Brussels Waffle Premium to share. Looking at the menu, I was quite amazed by their savory waffles. Chicken satay waffles and thai prawn curry waffles??! Wow that was, um…innovative, but it's my first time here I better stick with their originals. Us 3 gals ordered a Brussels Waffle Premium to share. The waffle had a light and airy texture, slightly crispy on the surface and retained moisture inside. The best part though, was the ice cream. It was soft and gooey which resembles gelato, paired perfectly with the waffle.

Belgian Waffle Desserts at Waffills

The last time I tried the savory waffles at Waffills, I wasn't impressed with the fillings but I thought the waffle itself was pretty decent so I had hope for their desserts. I ended up coming here one night with a few friends after seeing the long lines at Via Tokyo next door. I'm sure they must get a lot of the overflow traffic which is why they have developed a matcha waffle! We ended up trying all of their waffle desserts on the menu. Brussels Waffle Premium ($68) - comes with icing sugar, whipped cream plus your choice of vanilla, chocolate or caramel cream ice cream; mixed berries or banana; and strawberry, chocolate or caramel sauce. After a few seconds of debate, we chose caramel ice cream with bananas and chocolate sauce, and it was heavenly! Unlike some other waffles that tends to be dense and fills you up after a few bites, the waffle here was light and crispy which made the dessert very enjoyable to eat as it was not heavy at all. [4.5/5]

 Apple Waffill Premium ($78) - the apple waffill was lovely as well with apple, amaretto, cinnamon, whipped cream and white chocolate flakes along with your choice of ice cream (we chose vanilla for this waffle). The apple filling inside the waffle reminded me of an apple pie and it was delicious! My friends got really curious about how the fillings came to be inside the waffle but the owner wouldn't tell us his trade secret. Oh well. [4/5]

 Matcha Liege Waffle ($24) - I loved the soft and chewy texture of this waffle while I found the matcha flavor to be strong but with a bitter aftertaste. The caramelized sugar glistening on top helped to balance it out but not really enough. [3.5/5]

    Waffills 從網絡上得知這小店後, 窩夫控的我一直都想找機會試試。一來銅鑼灣對我相當遠, 二來上次食了旁邊那間via tokyo 而放棄它! 今次首先在Cafe R&C 食lunch, 然後去salon整頭, 再回來食waffle 肚子就剛剛好有空位Green Waffle Diner, Ocio 一向係我心水店, 這間開張不久的小店Waffills, 是比利時人開的。店鋪空間較少，只能容納6至7人座位。Waffle 我一向喜歡食甜的, 試了出名的 Brussels Waffle Premium $68, 可選不同雪糕口味 (雲尼拿/朱古力/焦糖) 及醬汁 (朱古力/焦糖/士多啤梨)。因為即叫即製, 約等待10mins, 見到大部份客人都點了這款, 好期待它的賣相及味道。一接到手不期然"嘩"一聲，這刻當然"相機食先", 鮮艷的顏色配搭, 在我心目中佔著相當高分, 味道又不知道如何呢? 只提供2支叉, 用叉切開的時候聽到waffle 好脆身唔厚粉。當放一口進口, 感覺跟我早前食的好不同, 係好脆架!細意網上搜查一下, 原來Brussels 布魯塞爾窩夫用蛋漿，糖(糖霜)會加在窩夫外

    脆身的waffle再配合雪糕 (好香濃雲尼拿籽味) 、鮮果 、忌廉, 簡直是最佳配搭，因為不同平時waffle太有飽肚感, 所以下次我應該可以自己一個人食畢整個waffle~
    其實$68有少許貴, 不過好味都值得!

     裝飾十分簡約, 最吸引就是牆上的memo board, 下次有時間要睇睇寫了什麼。此店有11款waffle, 一半鹹一半甜, 下次想試一試鹹的。
