I am writing to express my deep disappointment of the service of the restaurant "La Cuisine De Mekong" on last Friday night.
First, the waitors set a round table of 10 and a sqaure table of 6, instead of 3 round tables. It made the setting very crowded and strange. Nevertheless, I understood the full booking on Friday night and I believed we could still enjoy the night.
However, when we started to order drinks with the waitors, the bad experience started.
The drinks came in half hour after we ordered. When we followed up with the waitors, their reply was very impolite and impatient. Since we joined the 2-hours package, we would like to order a few bottles in one time if the order time took so long. the waitor stated that each person could only order one glass of drink in one time. It was understandable. Since we had over 10 people drinking red wine, so we suggested to just give us glasses and whole bottle, we can refill by ourselves. the waitor first insisted to served us glasses by glasses, but after we explained that it would only made them running out of glasses shortly, he tried to fix out with the manager.
Later, one of friend knocked over a glass of wine. the waitor saw it and
I went towards him to ask for towel. The waitor tried to make me in difficulty and ORDERED me 2 times to stand there and wait. Then he turned back and chatted with another colleague, slowly walked to the bar and got the towel. Since the wine was running, I could not wait but rushed to the bar and tried to get the towel by myself. Then the waitor passed me two wet towels, I asked if he could give me dry one, he then gave me a resented look and sound, turned back and threw the towel onto the floor. I cannot believe that he gave me his face color before I should be the one to do!
Last but not least, during the party, the waitors also realised that it was more convenient and flexible to bring a few bottles of wine in one time. So we had more than one bottle of wine. However, after the 2-hours booking time, the waitors came and took away our bottles which still had wine in it. And he didn't even say a word to explain his action.
The above complaints were just the few most serious case that I must specify. In fact, the attitude and service of the waitors and even the manager during the entire 2 hours were extremely poor and rude. I cannot stand but complained to the manager at the end of the party. And I must let you all know how worst the service was.
If the restaurant takes the order for group party, I do think the staff should have prepared to handle large group of customers, but not despise them like what I have experienced now!
What a terrible experience I had my party in such a bad service restaurant.
