Boyfriend and I were walking in Cheung Sha Wan wondering what to eat when we came here and the pictures on the menu looked pretty good.The restaurant was pretty clean with a red and white color layout. Menu was in English and Chinese. They seemed to serve omelette rice sets and rice sets that you would find in Pepper Lunch.I ordered an omelette rice with pork chop for $41 and added $22 for a drink, salad, dessert and garlic toast.Ice Red Bean Drink. The restaurant was pretty clean with a red and white color layout. Menu was in English and Chinese. They seemed to serve omelette rice sets and rice sets that you would find in Pepper Lunch.
I ordered an omelette rice with pork chop for $41 and added $22 for a drink, salad, dessert and garlic toast.
Ice Red Bean Drink. This was not great but as it was pretty inexpensive, I am willing to forgive. It was far too milky and not much red bean. I tasted some coconut flavor so I wonder if they mixed in some coconut milk in it?
Salad. This came with the set. It was not that great but I really didn't expect much. The salad dressing was pretty salty. The greens didn't seem too fresh and were a bit browning at the edges.
Garlic Toast. The toast wasn't very crispy but rather chewy. It was buttery enough. Not very garlicy.
Dessert. The dessert that was part of the set was custard. This wasn't very good. Just tasted like sugary egg.
Omelette with Pork Chop in Tomato Sauce. I could choose one of the following sauces : curry, white, tomato, sesame and black pepper. I chose tomato as I love ketchup with eggs. What I got was a rather weak red sauce that wasn't very tomato in flavor. The pork chop was ok and moist enough.
The omelette was ok enough but the rice was pretty bland. There wasn't any flavor at all in the rice.
Omelette Rice with Hamburger in Black Pepper Sauce. Boyfriend ordered the daily special which came in only one choice of sauce and a drink for $43. Pretty good deal, I thought. Again the rice wasn't very good. But the hamburger was pretty good. Nice, soft and fluffy. Black pepper sauce wasn't as spicy as usual black pepper sauce.
A fairly inexpensive meal as it came out to around $50 per person. However, it wasn't very good. The place was full and definitely a place for the people who lived around here. But as we weren't from this area, I won't be back.张贴
