While boyfriend and I were walking around Tai Po, we found another tofu fa place where there was a decent little line forming. This wasn't the famous one that everyone in Hong Kong knows about. I noted that the line here were made up of people who looked like they lived in the area and not one person looked like they had just finished hiking. This is definitely a local neighbourhood favorite so we gave it a try!

Menu is all in Chinese and they seemed to have different tofu fa flavors served in both hot or cold. Boyfriend and I shared a bowl and so we chose a cold osthamus tofu fa. There was as strong osthamus taste mixed with the tofu fa. The tofu fa had a nice soybean taste but it wasn't too strong. However, it wasn't smooth and silky but had a more jelly like texture.

When we met a friend who lived nearby, she informed us that we should have ordered a hot tofu fa instead of the cold one. She said that the hot version is even better than the famous tofu fa place around the corner. So, perhaps we will give it another chance when we are in the area because it seemed the residents preferred this shop more.

剛好是回暖那幾天,走在大埔的街道上竟有一絲熱的感覺,正想著尋間小吃店解饞降溫,忽爾看到這家豆腐花圍了不少人,$10的價錢已經不能算貴,那就來一碗吧。堂食的位置就幾張椅子,於是買了碗凍黑白豆花(忘記名字是不是這樣),拿著瓷碗坐到對面的石椅開動嘍。實在說豆腐花的質感不夠軟滑,有點偏固體,豆香不太明顯,芝麻糊只是倒在表面,並不是真正的一半一半,而且給我一種多多即沖粉的感覺,不過兩者配搭的清甜冰涼確是消暑的好選擇呢。

堂食的位置就幾張椅子,於是買了碗凍黑白豆花(忘記名字是不是這樣),拿著瓷碗坐到對面的石椅開動嘍。
實在說豆腐花的質感不夠軟滑,有點偏固體,豆香不太明顯,芝麻糊只是倒在表面,並不是真正的一半一半,而且給我一種多多即沖粉的感覺,不過兩者配搭的清甜冰涼確是消暑的好選擇呢。

我地原本係去食亞婆豆腐.....花既,點知亞婆收檔啦,唯有搵第二間啦。行行下就搵到佢。都有5-8個人排緊隊,羊群心理下,排埋一份。諗住去探下西施,點知唔見人,心情低落就叫左碗最普通既桂花冰糖豆腐花。個人鐘意超甜,所以加左好多黃糖。豆腐花熱辣辣,而且幾滑,一啜直入喉嚨。豆腐花都"傑傑"地,但豆味偏淡。桂花冰糖唔算甜,正因為咁我加左好多黃糖。份量都大碗。ps D碗大細不一,同行友人碗豆腐花都冇我碗咁多。

某個回家晚上想食綠豆沙,誰不知只能食到碗綠豆豆腐花。得一湯匙多少少嘅綠豆沙點綴飾咁食個豆腐花,如果你要多啲綠豆就要減走好多豆腐花。(其實已經唔大碗)豆味輕,係滑嘅,不過稀咗啲。回頭率:1/10 (口渴而唔想飲水會過黎)

食完飯行左一大個圈就黎到呢度食返個甜品先返屋企,,平時都唔多覺眼,,但聽講都唔差嘅,,呢個係佢嘅門面,,出面無枱"鄧",,只可以坐對出嘅石"鄧"但一路食一路養蚊...其實食得好唔舒服我叫左個熱嘅薑汁豆腐花,,感覺熱嘅會更香更入味,,果然不出我所料嘅可口,,呢度嘅豆腐花都幾滑,,熱食感覺薑味由豆腐花散發,,而非外加,,我覺得自己加得紅糖太多,,一D破壞左個味,,下次應該加少少就夠

叫了一碗熱的桂花冰糖豆腐花,就是加了桂花糖水及黃糖。吃了一口,怎知有少少豬大腸的味道,怪怪的,以為是錯覺,再吃多幾口,都係有這種味,原來桂花的味道是這樣嗎?還是加左什麼奇怪的東西上去?糖水的怪味已掩蓋豆腐花的豆味,但是豆腐花的質感嘗算滑。

那日下午,我坐上了旺角開往大埔的紅VAN,因為我入大埔找朋友,去到大明里,見到一間叫 "豆腐花 " 的店舖,買都幾多款豆腐花,很多人排隊,奇怪豆腐花都很多人排隊,連強國人都排,味去買囉順到買給朋友做手信探佢,不過我都係要傳統的熱 "豆腐花 " ,凍了不滑,朋友就克白(芝麻+豆腐花)啦,豆腐花有豆味香滑,但芝麻就一般啦,好像撈水般不香又杰,比下去,豆腐花好好好好好好多,不往我去排隊。好俾個LIKE佢,不過都係要。傳統的熱 "豆腐花 ",其他就UN啦。

論到係大埔食豆腐花,好多人都會諗起阿婆豆腐花。無錯,果度D豆腐花係好食,但口味選擇並唔多。行過另一條街,有另一間豆腐花鋪頭,有更多款口味。之前去食芝麻糊豆花,夠哂滑又唔會太甜,就算唔夠甜都有多款調味料提供。其他口味有薑汁,咸豆花,或者豆花配芝麻糊、紅豆、綠豆、杏霜,可熱可凍,正。
