I found this restaurant in June 2018 and when I ordered a Chicken Doner dish. It was absolutely fantastic and worth the try. It has a complete blend of Turkish spices and it's a Turkish foodie heaven. I'd absolutely recommend trying out their Chicken Doner dish. it's tasty and very instgrammable for all those photo enthusiasts.

The word 'Kebab culture', has an adjacent bonding, especially to those with a british background, and I am no exception. For those who had been to UK for study, Kebab was always one of the popular nibbles after a late-night booze on friday or saturday. The image of kebab in the UK gradually shifted and associated with "fast food" and "take away", but for me, that taste is imprinted in my palate and the association is "satisfying" and "fulfilling" due to the fact that it is acting like a booze sponge. The real taste of kebab, with numerous of fresh herbs, is actually quite different from the high street take away kebab shop. The distinction can be made from the use of herbs, taste of meat and the type of sauce etc. However, due to the satisfying association, any kebab, without major disappointment, would easily score a three out of five!  Late-night booze never applied since I started working and the "nature" for kebab also shifted to become a quick meal for me during OT especially when most of them do free delivery. The only thing that didn't change is the words that are associated with it - "satisfying" and "fulfilling". "Kabab culture" in Hong Kong, wasn't as wide spread as UK, are only focused in limited areas mainly in central and TST. However, the stereotyping of kebab still applies but the overall quality would be higher than those high street kebab in UK as the wrap are less hard, vegetables are less soggy and meat are more hot (rather than cold) when they served. I just randomly picked one as I was walking in TST and here it is. 27 kebab house in TST is very cozy with only 4-5 tables available. I was looking the menu and didn't know that they serve rice with kebab! May be I was so stereotyped that I thought kebab must paired with a pita bread, so I thought I must ought to try the one with rice.  I also searched for lamb doner, one of my fravorite, on the menu for ages as it wasn't there and when I was so frustrated that needed to ask the waiter if they serve this dish, I noticed it on the "chef's recommendation". After placement of order, the staff gave use three sauces, two of which I am familiar with, garlic sauce and mint sauce, and the last one, chilli sauce, seems to be something new to me. Both mint sauce and garlic sauce is a yogurt based sauce which is very creamy which won't override by mint and garlic respectively. Kindly remind that this restaurant won't provide tap water and if you need something to drink, there will be quite a few choice of soft drinks. Chicken doner with rice:Having a extend experience of kebab in the UK, I still haven't tried any kebab with rice. Chicken doner was rich in flavour, with mild spicy, the texture is very tender. There was also some garlic flavour which contributed to the richness and even the vegetables was filled with spice and hint of garlic. Rice, if being picky, would be slightly dry and chewy but overall a very "satisfying" and "fulfilling" dish!Lamb Doner Wrapne of the challenge for me in the UK, for eating the lamb doner with pita bread, is the messiness. They just love to throw everything into the take away box and holding them to eat is almost impossible. This doner lamb is tightly packed, enhanced by the aluminium foil,  which conceals the vegetables, meat and especially the sauce nicely and will not spilt everywhere. It is the first time that I eat a lamb doner without any messy vegs and sauce of my lap and shoes! The taste of lamb doner is so unique that I really cannot describe by words! Just like telling someone to explain the taste of mango is nearly impossible. The option for adding those sauces to your kebab added a lot of "tailored element" which I liked. This kebab shop, in my opinion, would still be stereotyped to those in the UK, but would classified as the "higher end" purely due to the taste, portion, price and presentation. The meat here is well portioned such that I am sure that most people would be "satisfied" and "fulfilled" in every way.  继续阅读
