For a girls' night out, we chose this place because there were many vegetarian options for one of us grazers, but plenty of yummy carnivorous dishes to satisfy meat eaters like myself. Despite being on one of the steepest streets in Soho, our 38-week pregnant friend managed to arrive without breaking water. We had a corner table that sat 5 on the sofa side, and me singularly on a chair facing the rest of them, which meant I had to swing my head like a moving fan to be able to speak to everyone.T

We had a corner table that sat 5 on the sofa side, and me singularly on a chair facing the rest of them, which meant I had to swing my head like a moving fan to be able to speak to everyone.

That aside, the service was mainly provided by two nice waitresses who tried their best to meet every table's demand and overall did a very commendable job. For food, the menu is divided into tapas, salads (which appear to be many choices, but actually when you look closely they are variables of the same theme with common ingredients), a few pasta dishes, and mains had seafood/meat options.

We went for the meatballs (4 pieces), the garlic prawns (slightly too salty for my liking but fresh prawns and very garlicky), and mussels in white wine sauce (big dish, easily fed us all). There was also eggplant and proscuitto rolls (little bite-sized morsels on toothpicks that whetted up our appetite), and a HUGE salad that could easily be a main course for two. The crusty warm baguettes were used to mop up all the sauces from various dishes.

For mains we opted for the chicken kebab/souvla, which was actually a huge dish with a "side" salad that could easily have been a starter dish on its own. The 4-5 skewers of tender tasty chicken did not disappoint in taste, texture, freshness and portion-wise. We also had the quesadilla mix, which ended up as a huge plate of 4 kinds of wraps/flats - chicken, beef, vegetarian and cheese & tomato. These came with 2 side dishes of potatos, which we struggled to finish. We were glad that our order of boeuf bourgignon was sold out for the evening because it would have gone unappreciated. There were a few orders of mocktails and the rest of us had plain water. In addition to everything tasting fantabulous, the bill came to just over $200 pax!! My only piece of advice for all you reading this - if you come to this restaurant, make sure you have at least a group of 6 or more so you can order a few more dishes to try, otherwise you'd be left peering longingly at your fellow diners' dishes and wishing you could find another stomach to fit it all in.

I had a choice of salad or Minestrone soup.
I chose the soup and it was delicious, with lots of vegetables pieces in a great broth.
For the main dish I could choose between salami pizza, grilled tuna steak or vegetarian quesadilla.
I chose the tuna (where do you get a tuna steak for set lunch) and was surprised to get a very good portion of tuna steak, served with rice and vegetables. Even though the tuna was cooked as it should be (pink inside), I asked for it to be cooked more and they did it promptly with a smile !
The set lunch also included a choice of chocolate mousse, or coffee / tea / soft drinks. I was tempted by the chocolate mousse but was not hungry anylonger. I asked for tea and had a choice of 5 – 6 loose leaf teas served in a tea pot !
No tea bag no !
The set lunch is a great deal and I highly recommend it. I will definitely come back and try a la carte menu and wines !
题外话/补充资料: It was lunch time so I did not dare indulging in the whisky and cigars ... they have a great selection for amateurs.

The ingredients were really fresh and the avocado dressing was just the right thing with the prawns. Everyone else seemed most pleased with their choice as well, all the salads were similarly praised, as were the Chicken Kebabs with couscous, I did get one bite to try and it was very tasty! Service was prompt and friendly, we ate inside as it was quite hot on that day but they have a lovely outdoor patio which must be really nice when it's cooler.
Highly recommended, I'll definitely be back!

My favourite place in Soho and all of Central.Perfect for dining in or having a drink at the terrace.Didn't have to wait for a table or my food for too long. Knowing how to cook and appreciate Mediterranean cuisine, I thought I would be hard to please, but the food and the fresh ingredients won me over from the beginning...P.S  Portions are huge! Even the most hungry customer would be pleased and I ain't no size 2 ;)

Went here because a friend introduced me this restaurant. I found this place very different from those noisy restaurants/bars in LKF and lower Soho.
With a 3 of us in this restaurant, we had good time to discuss together with nice food. With a bit of background music to have good environment but yet the volume was appropriate for discussion and chilling.

Food was like mediterranean style. They serve really nice salads, with varieties of veggies that real mediterranean salad should be, which is quite rare in HK that lots of restaurants just put 3 kinds as "assorted".
We took chicken pasta. The texture of pasta itself was good, the sauce plus the cheese was perfect for chicken. It was a dish well arranged! I love it so much!!!

The grilled chicken was great too. The seasoning done on the chicken we great and it was crispy, with a little bit of chicken juice inside, I could not make any complain or bad comments on the dish!

As we spent the nice to have a small group gathering, we found the services there provided at correct moment. They served at the right time and was never bothering. The manager asked us if the food/drinks was alright at the end of the meal. I think they care about what the customers feel.

It was a very happy experience there in this restaurant. We will come back.

I’ve been a “regular” to this place for the past one year and its service, food and atmosphere quality has been consistent throughout no matter the occasion. Whether it was a dinner with friends, lunch with colleagues, heavy drinking before hitting the clubs…or trying to get rid of the hangover with some awesome brunch and bubbly with the kid being busy “decorating” the walls with some chalks, this place has it!
The roquefort mussels and salads are outstanding! The breakfast /brunch choices are excellent too with eggs benedict made with FRESH hollandaise sauce and a generous portion of salad and potatoes. If just nibbling there, you ‘ll find a great choice of small dishes ( being washed down with these excellent wines) and lovely meat and veggie platters to share (or not ;)).
Overall a very pleasant addition to Soho’s restaurant and bar scene. Highly recommended!

I forgot to take pictures but these are my recommendations from their healthy and versatile menus - with a lot of vegetarian choices!

The Asian Goat - A creative mix of oriental spring rolls with - my favourite - goat cheese! Imagine the fusion and yes it is that appetising and yummy.

Veggie Touch - it's a vegetarian platter with a mix of everything! The beetroot frites totally made my night. It's a great dish for sharing.

Salads - We didn't try them all but the salad menu is really appetising. They got dishes named after streets like Peel Street, Wyndham Street and Caine Road. So good that I had to wrap it up and take home.

题外话/补充资料: For happy hour, order a drink and it will pair with a dish. Great deal!

The restaurant had an indoor seating and outdoor seating as well. The indoor ambiance was like a casual and hip cafe while the outdoor seating looked like a tiki-style patio. Since the weather was pretty nice and warm on the day we were here, we chose to sit on the outside.

The drunch menu basically contained breakfast food like bagels, omelets, and eggs benedict. They also had 2 hour free flow of champagne as well! What caught my eye were the names of the dishes, which were really funny like The Walk of Shame and Just A Disaster. Initially I wanted to try their bagels since it can be hard to find a good bagel place in HK sometimes, but the waitress came back to tell me that they had run out of bagels after I had already placed my order. Darn! I decided to get the lemongrass pancakes instead while J got one of their omelets.

All drunch came with coffee and choice of orange or grapefruit juice. We chose one of each and they were both freshly squeezed as I can still see the pulp floating on the surface. Sweet and refreshing, both juices were great to go with our food.

After our juices came, it all went downhill from there as we had to wait for more than half an hour for our food to come. I was starving and famished by then! It was then that I noticed they seemed short-staffed as they only had 2 people serving the entire restaurant - both inside and outside! I felt like the service on the outside was especially slow since the staff only came outside when they were delivering something. We basically had to wait by chance if we wanted any service at all. Even when we did get their attention, they kept forgetting our orders! J wanted his coffee before the food came out but after waiting for a while, I had to walk down to the restaurant inside to ask the staff manning the bar to get the coffee.

Just A Disaster ($128) - consisted of an omelet with ham, cheese, mushroom, and tomatoes with a side of sauteed potatoes, sausage, bacon, and salad. The portions were not bad but the omelet was way overcooked! The egg was old and tough to eat when it was supposed to be light, fluffy and slightly runny. The sides were just average as well. We had to ask the staff to bring us ketchup twice and by the time we were almost done with the dish, the ketchup still had not arrived. When the staff finally did bring the ketchup, she brought it to the table next to us. Yep it was a disaster alright.

Smooth Breakfast ($68) - consisted of lemongrass pancake and yogurt. I was quite intrigued by the lemongrass pancake because it was the first time I've heard of such combination. The pancakes were just average as they were slightly crispy on the outside but not fluffy enough on the inside. I could taste and see bits of lemongrass in the pancakes, but it didn't really enhance the taste of the pancakes at all. I guess the question I had was why lemongrass then? They were also brought out with no syrup at all. I had to walk down to the restaurant inside again to get the syrup since I didn't want to risk waiting till my pancakes got cold.

The yogurt provided was just plain yogurt which was clumpy and runny while it could have been more sour.

I chose to have my coffee at the end. My coffee was brought out with no cream but luckily J never used his cream so I just grabbed his leftover. The coffee was just okay as it was not really aromatic and strong.

Conclusion - the food here was just mediocre as the omelet was pretty disappointing. It wasn't anything that you couldn't get anywhere else. If eggs are supposed to be a showcase for their brunch and they can't even get that right, I wouldn't be interested in trying their other food at all. The service was just bad and slow. Maybe it was because we were sitting on the outside but it still didn't explain the fact that they just kept forgetting what we had asked for. It was too bad because the ambiance was pretty casual and actually great for chilling with friends. I guess it can be the place for you if you have a lot of time to kill and don't mind waiting.

I visited Aberdeen street restaurant with my friends last Friday night. This place left us with the best impression. Actually we were not very hungry but the menu was tempting so I thought I should try the burger for which I had heard some good comments. Well, it was the best burger I have ever had, plus I pushed myself to finish it as it was really delicious! Some girls in our company were vegetarian and they had so many options to choose from a very rich menu. They had some great tasting salads, the best was the one with prawns, mushrooms, avocado and a plenty of dressings. We also ordered the soup of the day which was also nice. Another guy at the company had an enormous half-way grilled beef tenderloin which I also tasted, it was litteraly melting in my mouth, exactly as I liked it.
To say some things about the place, the fact that I don't like the closed freezing air-conditioning restaurants in Hong Kong, gives to this one another plus. It has a beautiful and peaceful courtyard with comfortable tables, where you can enjoy your dinner and have nice conversation. And being outside you are not being annoyed by the cars on the street which is nearby, simply because although it is in the heart of Soho, miraculously this small road avoids all the loud traffic. Furthermore it looks like only the taxi drivers know this small shortcut road, so you can easily catch a cab once in 5 minutes or so just outside the door!
After we had our dinner, the soft jazz music attracted us to the bar where the friendly bartender proposed some good looking and refreshing cocktails for the ladies and provided us with a bottle of Irish whiskey (Jameson
). The mood was never better, as the music started to get some classic rock vibes. They informed us from the place that there will be some event nights with a dj on the decks. In general all the personnel were so friendly and pleasant, of course including the owner of the restaurant, a great French lady. The girls mentioned to her how much they liked the decoration of the interior, especially those beautiful photos on the walls.
Concluding, this evening was most pleasant for us, because the final price was also logical for the quality and the service provided. I would highly reccomend this place for a nice dinner and an early drink.
题外话/补充资料: As the place is small, it would be better to make a reservation before going. There are some special offers in particular days, like a Mexican party with free buritos and cheap drinks, which was held in the end of September. The people working there informed us that they will be similar events in the near future.

As a step away from my place, I've been there already 4 times, and if I come back there, it means what it means.

The first meal I had was a few days after the openning. I had the burger which was tasty and it comes with goat cheese, which I love. We had a bottle a red wine from Chile which was also great. The size of the meal is big and I could sadly not finish my burger (actually the potatoes, the burger was too good not to eat it) ! However, I would have loved the bun to be more crunchy as it was a bit soft.

The second meal I had there was with a bunch of friends (ard 8 people). I had a salad, like a big salad which is big enought for a complete meal. Guess it was the first time I had a salad that "out of the convention" and suprisingly good. I like the fact that you can chose the dressing and the owner can help you finding the good one. Personnaly I like my salad except the mushrooom, but it's a question of taste.

The third meal was a team lunch, pretty good. Salad and dessert are normal, and the mains we had (chicken for me, fish for others) were pretty good (according to my coworkers for the fish, I had the roasted spring chicken).

Finally last time I went there, I absolutly wanted to try the oysters and the mussels. The oysters, pretty cheap, were pretty good. Salty as it should, but I would have loved them a little bit colder. The mussels were ... liked at home; that's my favourite dish so far. Also, we paired all of these with a white from New Zealand, soooo good !

Every meal is served with some bread which I guess comes from the bakery just down the road, my fav bread in HK so far.

This is a place I would go again as I know I wont be disapointed. This is not Caprice or whatever, but I like the setting, the food and so on, I'm seeing this place as a confort restaurant and I can't wait the automn to have dinner on their terrasse !
