I love bagels but never would have thought to use that same dough in place of regular pizza dough. But apparently, there are a lot of people who have tried this online with great results. So, when I saw this listed as new in Sai Ying Pun, I wanted to try it. So, boyfriend and I went in search for it one evening.Andrea's Bagel Crust Pizza is a rather small shop. The place is very small but I noticed the floor which was made by a lot of pennies.
Menu is in English only. There is no 10% service charge. They have both thin crust pizza ($130) or one that uses pizza crust ($150). Size is 12 inches and they have some very inventive flavor combinations. However, you can always create your own. Along with pizza, they also offer pasta and soup.
They have an offer in the evening where you get a free drink upon any order of pizza. Even though we ate there, they still let us have this promotion.
So we chose a rose lemonade. This was pretty good and tasted like perfume.
We chose the Urban Hangover Cure. This had cheese, pepperoni, diced chicken sausage, caramelized onion, roasted pepper, cremini mushroom, tomato sauce and drizzled with siracha mayo. The toppings all worked including the siracha mayo. There was a generous amount of toppings as well. And the bagel crust? It was chewier. It was thinner than I expected but it held well and didn't fall apart. I can see why people love the bagel crust version online. This was pretty superb.
A really good pizza. Excellent amount of toppings and plenty of gooey cheese. Would be back when in the area.
