Meringue is my all time favourite yet it is not common in HK. Le Dessert is able to balance the sweetness of meringue with the fruits which makes meringue more enjoyable. Chefs are nice and serve with big smiles. Appreciated. They make coffee too. Will definitely try next time : ) 继续阅读

Weekends are fairly quiet in one area of the city. As I was wandering around by myself, I wanted a place to sit and rest my tired feet. That was when I found Le Dessert. It was a kiosk inside Lab Concepts serving pavlovas! It's a take away type of place but there are seats on the side.Menu is in English only. There is no 10% service charge. Along with pavlovas, they also sell other desserts.I ordered an Antoinette Pavlova ($55). Named after the former Queen of France, I guess as the other one they had was called Louis. This was a meringue topped with chantilly cream, strawberries and raspberries and dots of raspberry coulis.  I think I'm used to the pavlovas in Canada where they are the size of your face and expected to share with a crowd. And SUPER sweet So, this small size was just perfect.  It alsos wasn't sweet at all. Also, the ones I've had in Hong Kong were always so disappointing. Always chewy or hard as a rock. This wasn't. It broke apart easily with my thin wooden spoon. It literally tasted like clouds. The cream was wonderful. Rich and yet not overly sweet. Topped with fresh berries and the lovely coulis, this was perfect little dessert.A great little place for dessert break.  Worth the price.

Grabbed one of their pavlova before a late dinner. It was surprisingly light and the strawberries balanced the sweetness of the pavlova, making it a perfect dessert/snack before dinner. The staff was very friendly and after I finished it, he kindly asked my opinion(which I replied delicious). Would come back for more 继续阅读

Discovered this French pastry joint when I was dining at so decided to try it right afterwards. The menu was simple: teas, pavlovas, French donuts and jar desserts.I am a donut person so their French donut was my target. It was donut filled with vanilla custard cream and homemade strawberry purée which is totally my thing! The texture of the donut was fluffy and soft just like the donuts in UK and the vanilla custard cream was light and runny. The amount of strawberry puree was just right and it wasn't too sweet as a whole so I was extremely impressed. They also have savoury donuts which they claim to be the first of it's kind but I don't agree with that because J.Co Donuts already have a savory donut. However I reckon the quality and filling of the savoury donut would be better at Le Dessert. Will definitely be back for another donut as it is really difficult to get good donuts in Hong Kong without going to Marks and Sparks. 继续阅读
