I did a huge favour for my client, thus he decided to treat me for lunch today. He suggested that we could go to a restaurant that was opened not long ago, serving fine dining food during lunch as well. Number 2 restaurant and bar was located at Shin Hing Street, around 10 minutes walk from Sheung Wan MTR. They only have 1 price list for their lunch menu, $160 for 2 course and $190 for 3 course. Fresh squeezed juice - The juice for today was grapefruit juice. The waiter told me that it was all freshly squeezed, with no sugar added. It was fresh, with slight bitter taste from the grapefruit seed.

The waiter also served us few slices of bread, with olive oil provided at the side to dip. Bread was soft and moistful.

Smoked salmon bruschetta - The bread was toasted till crispy at the edges and soft at the centre. Salmon was flavourful and buttery, going well with the bread.

Mixed seafood risotto on tomato sauce - The chef was very generous with the ingredients, including fish meat, prawns and squid. Prawns were of big size and was fresh and juicy. Fish meat were soft and smooth, squid were chewy and smooth. Risotto was tasty, with the tomato sauce base. It was chewy, not overly soft.

Homemade daily olive oil ice cream - The ice cream was rose flavour. The rose flavour was light, with olive oil dipped on top to make it slightly oily.

As a lavender lover this appetizer certainly served my palate right! Lavender accentuated so perfectly that I totally clear off the plate in seconds! Even the last bite of sauce!! Loved it!

The omelette was exciting to hear even its name! Cause there’s my favorite avocado in it!!

It turned out pretty impressive to taste as well! It would be even better if the omelette was less overcooked, adding more moist to it!

The flavour of the pork ribs was well spot in! The addictive barbecue sauce was luscious that kept me devouring for more! Thumbs up for this dish!

I love bread puddings! The bread pudding executed here with chocolate was fair. It was a bit too dry for my liking. Still it would be a festive dessert for anyone who loves sweet or BREAD!

早两日行經中環歌賦街遇見一個舊同事, 原來他正在午餐時間, 真是相見不如偶遇。我們邊行邊在附近找吃, 最後見到這條街全是石級, 就沿石級慢行見到這間法國和地中海fusion 餐廳 。 從放在門口的餐牌見到逢星期一至五提供有不同的set lunch, 其他日子就只有不同種類的 brunch選擇, 但酒類飲品就每日都有很多選擇, 甚至有限两小時任飲的choice。我自己選擇了一個3 courses set lunch ($190) :1、尼斯沙律一一有三大塊煎得外脆內軟的厚切tuna鱼, 加上調味用的意大利醋和橄欖油, 沙律菜新鲜爽脆可口, 味道好像有酸甜汁的感覺, 令到胃口大開。2、意大利香醋慢煮有機豬仔骨一一猪仔骨有很大部份都是肉, 並不是見骨唔見肉 , 雖然望落黑黑的顏色, 其表現出落足調味料, 侍应解释其中有用玫瑰露酒作調味, 所以使到豬肉有一種很甘香軟糯彈牙、濃郁的似豆.....香味在口內迥轉, 咬在口內有少少中華料理的感覺, 不知是否因為是有機豬肉, 肉味香濃不想吞下肚內。另外薯條炸得香脆、有些好像還是連著薯皮似的, 咬在口內好香脆甘香。3、手匠工製朱古力布朗尼一一好像全塊Br

3、手匠工製朱古力布朗尼一一好像全塊Brownie都是用香濃朱古力做出來似的, 入口充滿濃濃朱古力香味, 餅塊新鲜鬆脆加上朱古力豆有咬口, 甜味剛剛好, 是一道很健康的飯後甜品
因為餐館外面是一條長長的石階, 並沒有車輛和只有疏落路人, 所以環境清静很適合邊食邊傾計。
靚女侍應又好仔細的解說, 我們食得很開心愉快。

Went to check out the newly opened Number 2, which replaces Cocotte in Central. First of all, can we talk about the name 💩 (teehee). Ok, now the food. Claims to be Mediterranean food, but that isn't very apparent through the menu. In general, pretty average. Dinner: (1) mussels - highlight of the meal, juicy mussels with this awesome white sauce; (2) lamb chops - so tiny...for the price, it's kind of a rip off; (3) ribs - fairly tasty...kinda like ribs soaked in char siu sauce...but really h
