This landmark in Central is an iconic commercial building with some quick eats options on the first floor. Planned to grab some snacks for tea break and this space caught my eyes- it’s different from the coffeehouse/ origiri chain branch next door, with a wall of food lockers and a few dining tables.
On and off I’ve been working nearby and looking for something healthy with a budget, so I’m grateful to come across this shop.
After browsing the bakery cabinet, I decided on this cookie-looking tartlet. It’s a dark short crust pastry, filled with some creamy curd and redcurrant jam. Really satisfied my sweet tooth.
Getting older I couldn’t take strong caffeine in the late afternoon, here the menu offers light milk tea and it suits me so well. I picked the gardenia flavour: a very floral and oriental tea taste, almost felt like jasmine.
Note to self: Let’s try the 10 bucks Americano in the morning, the price looks unbeatable!
As I happened to have a show in the evening and there’s not enough time to grab dinner, I also brought some meal boxes along. Each meal came in 4 boxes, two proteins; one vegetables; and one carbs. They looked incredibly good for dietary reset, each box was labelled with the name of the dish and the respective nutrients.
The taste reminded me of home-cooking: healthy and hearty. Now your mom could rest assured, because you’re able to enjoy a nutritious meal even being away from home! Also, it’s very good value, the 4-box meal set costed less than $60.
Tonight I had steamed egg with corns; sautéed chicken thigh with olive vegetables; crunchy carrot sticks with black pepper; and quinoa rice. I like it a lot, while waiting for Mrs Golden-tongued to reunite, I’ll take good care of my diet. ♥️
Mom’s Tips: Clean the boxes and return for recycling, you can save up stamps and enjoy some perks like free meals/ drinks.
