Finally went to Pizza Maru after seeing how tempting its pics are on instagram! Specialises in Korean fusion dishes, its pizza is one of its must-eat items. If you're craving something cheesy, you must order from the Chicago series. Came with a honey almond edge, the 𝑲𝒊𝒎𝒄𝒉𝒊 𝑩𝒂𝒚 𝑪𝒉𝒊𝒄𝒂𝒈𝒐 𝑷𝒊𝒛𝒛𝒂 was filled with ingredients like mushroom, corn, crab meat stick and shrimp. Its crust was stuffed with string cheese and cream cheese and its dough was pillowy soft and chewy in texture. However, the Kimchi mayonnaise on top didnt have kimchi taste at all.
We also ordered a 𝑪𝒓𝒂𝒃 𝑭𝒆𝒔𝒕𝒊𝒗𝒆 𝑷𝒊𝒛𝒛𝒂 from the classic series. Added $32 for a special crust (Mocha Cheese Edge) and didn’t regret it at all! Honestly, never thought the combination of mocha and cheese could taste so good! 😋 However, the toppings were quite ordinary.
As for the 𝑯𝒐𝒏𝒆𝒚 𝑮𝒂𝒓𝒍𝒊𝒄 𝑮𝒂𝒏𝒈𝒋𝒆𝒐𝒏𝒈 𝑪𝒉𝒊𝒄𝒌𝒆𝒏, it was done to perfection- crispy, tender, and succulent.
Would definitely come back to place for its pizza with mocha cheese edge!
