This is definitely the largest portion of Donburi so far. I don’t know if this is just for us, but the rice and toro/eel portion is huuuuuge. This is definitely the largest portion of Donburi so far. I don’t know if this is just for us, but the rice and toro/eel portion is huuuuuge. We couldn’t finish the whole thing and had to take away at the end.

Anyway, we ordered the Grilled Eel Big Don and Toro Big Don. The eel is very fresh and there are not much bones in it. There were times that the eel was served with quite a lot bones, which made it hard to eat. Seeing the beautiful marble of the toro, it is needless to say that the toro was so fresh! We’ve also ordered an egg yolk, mixed it with soy sauce + wasabi, and pour it into the rice. The egg definitely added some creamy texture to the rice and it’s very matching with the soy sauce itself. We almost felt like we could just have the rice itself, not to mention we have such nice quality toro.

Will want to go back in the future, but next time we won’t forget to ask for less rice.(and since we’ve already took the best photos, we don’t have to worry about keeping the mountain shape

这一定是我们吃过最大份量的丼饭!不知道是否只是我们这样认为而已,但不得不说他们的份量挺大的。我们都吃不完,最好唯有打包带走啦。

说回正题,这次我们点了烧鳗鱼盛丼和极上拖罗盛丼。鳗鱼吃得出来是非常新鲜,而且骨头挑得特别干净。因为有时候吃鳗鱼时会要一边吃一边吐骨头的,所以还挺难得。看到拖罗的纹路和色泽,不用我说也知道它有多新鲜了吧!我们还点了一颗鲜蛋黄,混合豉油和Wasabi,再淋在日本寿司饭粒上。加了蛋汁的饭粒变得软绵绵,跟豉油的组合非常香口,终于明白为什么有人说豉油(蛋汁)捞饭最好吃。更不用提与拖罗一齐吃是有多香了吧!

期待下次再试其他味道的饭,但我们会记得要点小饭(反正今次已经拍尽了美美的照片,也不用管它有没有「火山型」了
)。
