值得一试的Lunch Set

I had booked a table for 2 at 1p.m. on a week day for lunch but we had to wait for about 5 min to be seated after arriving on time. I was just told that because their 12p.m. guests hadn't left yet...So it meant that they didn't try to make sure that their 12p.m. guests leave on time for their 1p.m. guests...It was a really small restaurant but the interior decoration, including their tableware, looked quite good. There were quite a variety of choices from their lunch menu.  There were quite a variety of choices from their lunch menu. It seemed that price had inflated by $10 compared with other "recent" comments on openrice but some special drinks were included and there was no need to top-up for some items like beef briskets.  I ordered 香茅牛油蒜香鸡翼, 宿醉回魂粉 with 牛坑腩, and 椰汁冰.

 椰汁冰 arrived first after we had placed our orders. It was not too sweet nor too diluted. It was quite good to come with the deep-fried sides and spicy beef noodles.

 There were 3 slices of beef briskets but they were quite a failure as they were so hard! The noodles themselves were ok - thin and smooth. The soup was quite clear. I drank quite a bit of the soup but didn't feel particularly thirsty afterwards. I did add some chili to the soup to add some spiciness. I think overall it was only a bare pass given the disappointing beef briskets.

 The lemongrass chicken wings tossed with garlic butter looked so attractive that I decided to give it a try despite the fattiness. They didn't disappoint me. They were freshly deep fried and smelt so good when served. Each was chopped into half so it was much easier to eat. They smelt and tasted so good of garlic butter. It was really a dish to recommend.

Tables were not too close to each other and it was a quiet enough place to have a good chat over lunch.

Given the overall quality of food, the location in Central and the price, I would say it was a place worth trying.
