Revisited for dinner last weekend and the food did not disappoint! One thing I love about their sushi is the near-perfect ratio between the fish and the rice! Each piece of fish is of very decent thickness, and the rice underneath is a perfect amount, it helps the fish shines without overpowering its flavour, and each rice ball is squeezed just tight enough so that it doesn’t fall apart but doesn’t taste like a solid rock either. The texture and flavour of sushi rice is actually so important and has a significant impact on the overall taste of the sushi! Of course, the quality of the fish is important too and just look at that beautiful sear!

We ordered their tuna akami sushi again but it wasn’t as incredible this time. Not as thickly slices, not as fatty and the umami flavour wasn’t as strong. Still, very fresh and of better quality than other similarly priced sushi spots.

We enjoyed their eel roll with cucumber and cheese so much that we ordered it TWICE that night! They were just so generous with the amount of eel and each piece was super fragrant and juicy after a light seat. Hands down our favourite item here!

The avocado soft shell crab roll was nice too but I have a preferred resto when it comes to avocado soft shell crab rolls, and this one wasn’t at that level yet 😉

Also really enjoyed the teapot soup with mushroom, it had a delightful aroma and was such a comforting warm dish (we were craving something warm after all that sushi). I can also attest to the fact that there wasn’t much use of MSG in the soup as we weren’t thirsty at all afterwards even after drinking every last drop!
