Rich Chicken Broth Noodles with Drumstick (炖浓鸡汤面) (手工面) $84


Absolutely amazing 💯🤩. The soup is so rich and flavorful, they definitely used a lot of chicken bones and time to stew it. It was so intense in flavor but not salty or overwhelming at all, it was still clear and easy to drink without feeling full.


The chicken leg was given as a drumstick and a thigh, which is super generous regarding the price. The skin itself was glistening, smooth and shiny, not oily at all. I had to eat it alone and it was super delicious, smooth and refreshing. Delicious with the (refillable) sour vegetables (酸菜) too.


The chicken meat deserves its own essay piece. The meat was just amazingly tender and firm. It was so fresh and flavorful that I wondered if it was made using fresh chickens as they are much better quality. The meat is all dark meat which made it even more tender and soft. It was easy to pull it off the bone using my mouth but much harder using chopsticks. Highly recommend eating the meat with the sour vegetables and a small sip of soup to go down with as well. The amount of meat is almost the same as the amount of noodles 🤤😂.


On that note, the chicken was weighing down the noodles in the beginning so some noodles did clump together but was easily separated! So maybe try to eat the chicken first, or put it aside on their assigned plate.


Okay, the noodles. I chose their handmade thick noodles because I love firm, chewy noodles and the fact that it’s homemade just sold it for me. The texture is exactly what I imagined it to be, it was soft and chewy at the same time. One noodle was also really long so it was fun to eat it.


I was skeptical about the noodles being bland as my soup is not very deep in color as the beef ones and was afraid the soup hasn’t seeped into the noodles yet but I was proven wrong. The noodles are soaked with chicken flavor, I could easily slurp them up dry without soup and it would still be super flavorful.


The best bite had a piece of noodle, sour vegetables, a piece of chicken and a small drop of soup to wet the mouth. The explosion of flavors is amazing, especially love the sour vegetables! (I refilled 5 times 😝)

Steamed Vegetables (烫季节蔬菜) $42


We order a snack of steamed vegetables as well. We were expecting pretty bland flavors but we were surprised again!


The cabbage is crunchy and super refreshing, even though it was steamed. It is lightly coated in sesame oil and some type of Szechuan spice as it was very fragrant and tasted amazing too.


The portion was perfect for us to share, and good value too.

Ginger Tea with Honey, Dried Logan & Dried Wolfberry (桂圆杞子姜母茶) $28


I also ordered this hot tea as it was very cold today.


The tea pot came and the appearance was much cloudier than the photo so I was very skeptical.


The taste is very sweet. That’s the first note that comes to mind, then the taste of ginger appeared and it was mild at first but got much stronger as I kept drinking. Not bad drink but way too sweet in my opinion. However, the sweetness is not that artificial and mostly from honey (hopefully).


This is also good value as I got 3-4 cups of tea worth. And 2 pieces of Logan to eat too 😋.

💬 Overall, highly recommend this place if you crave Taiwanese food, even something as simple as their steamed vegetables is absolutely delicious. The hand made noodles are also chewy and a must visit for any noodle lovers. The chicken is also done to perfection. But do come early as there is always a queue 😆.
