We needed a cake for celebration and decided to try out 龙岛 as we hadn't tried it before!Amongst the many different choices of cakes, we chose 回味无穷 - 开心果黑莓蛋糕. The following was the description on its website: "以清新的黑莓果蓉点缀香浓的开心果慕丝，面层配上鲜士多啤梨及蓝莓，展现多层次的味觉享受"There was a complimentary chocolate plate which looked very very pretty! The 5 different layers of the cake were very distinct, with pistachio mousse on top, followed by chocolate cake, blackberry jelly in between pistachio mousse again and then chocolate cake on the base. The pistachio flavour was sufficiently strong and its presence balanced the chocolate cake quite well so that it was not too greasy or filling overall. The blackberry jelly in the middle wasn't very strong though. As the cake itself wasn't too sweet or greasy, it was good to eat with the thin chocolate slices on the surface which were crispy and yummy. If I had to point out something for improvement, I wish there could be more fresh fruits on the surface. My kids finished all the blueberries and strawberries on the surface in no time as there were just a few. Overall, I was quite satisfied with the quality of the cake. And it was not pricey at all! Highly recommended!
