Quick dinner situation on a work day, at 7pm it was full house!This cozy place in Wanchai, not too glamorous, but is run by true Beijing owner, who only speaks Mandarin, with true Beijing flavours. I ordered their lamb dumplings in soup, as well as the sour spicy soup. I love the lamb dumplings because it is a rare combination, as a lamb lover, I find it a rare treat as it’s quite special I was very full from it, the portion was generous with around 10 small dumplings. The dumpling wrap was a bit ‘al dente’
, and slightly chewy.

Sour and Spicy Soup, as it is called, is a traditional savoury soup which has bamboo shoot, Chinese mushrooms, tofu, tofu sheets, shredded wood ear fungi and shredded pork meat. Consistency is a bit too thick, too much of the corn starch thickening mix added inside, so I scooped in some chicken soup from the dumplings, smart decision!

I would recommend this place bearing in mind the price is not cheap, but the portion and flavours would be worth it, it’s like eating at a local Chinese restaurant although it’s very small here. I think the stir fried dishes (noodles/rice) and main courses looked and smelled really good, very attractive
