朝早做完gym想食个classic嘅avocado toast。见到menu有个「烟三文鱼、牛油果Puree、水煮蛋、酸种包配薯条」就嗌咗嚟食，薯条转咗沙律。个toast嚟到我O咗嘴。$98嘅toast细过我只手掌，真系好sad。之后个toast食落个味道又奇奇怪怪。我开头以为系咪d沙律酱hi咗落个toast度所以食落先酸酸甜甜。后尾继续食先见到原来个牛油果蓉捞咗苹果同粟米…… 好地地一个咸香嘅牛油果toast就毁咗，食到个人劲燥底。间cafe想搞创意就唔该喺翻menu写明会用咩食材。我食到好失望，仲以为自己叫错野。如果我一早知个toast会有苹果同粟米我就会嗌其他野嚟食。其实之前都嚟过呢间cafe食意粉。但原来所谓嘅手工意粉，粉到好似街市买𠮶d cheap鸡乌冬。我真系情愿食超市买嘅干意粉。今次谂住俾多次机会呢间cafe，点知都系劲差。d野纯为打卡。又贵又难食，绝对冇下次。I was craving some good old classic avocado toast that morning. I was craving some good old classic avocado toast that morning. I saw the menu and found the “Smoked Salmon, Avocado Puree, Benedict” Toast, and thought it was just what I wanted.
When the food arrived, I was completely appalled. The toast was so pitifully small. For $98 I was expecting something much larger. As you can see the toast was just half the size of my palm.
Aside from the small portion, when I took a bite of the food, I thought the salad dressing accidentally got onto the avocado puree as it tasted sour and sweet. However, as I continued to eat it, I found apple bits and corn in the puree. It clashed with the flavors of other ingredients and was just an overall bad dish. But that was just a matter of personal taste. What I particularly hated was how this sour puree went completely unmentioned in the menu. I genuinely thought I was gonna get a classic salty toast, with the avocado puree just seasoned with salt and pepper. What I had instead was something incredibly disappointing. If this cafe wanted to be creative, at least mention it on the menu. Had I knew there were apples and corn in the puree, I would’ve picked another dish instead.
