I like dining out with friends and trying different types of cuisines. But very rarely would I write any commentary about the places I have visited. At most I would share them on some social media platforms. Friends of mine keep asking me where I have been after seeing all the lovely photos that I have posted so eventually I have decided to do all a favour. I am a very picky person and I don't like wasting time earing junk as it comsumes my time to sit down and eat and swallow the food. So I like good food only. But good food doesn't mean it must be very expensive, although sometimes these two factors do go hand in hand. Anyway, to cut it short, let me kick start my road less travelled food blog with this restaurant which I have tried recently.
First of all, one should book in advance if one wants to sit comfortably at a table instead of a bar seat. Secondly, if you are too picky about sharing space with others and just want a romantic dinner where you can rub shoulders with your date then forget about it. This restaurant is rather noisy if it is full house and when all talk together, let alone shouting across. Lastly, don't expect there is other stuff like suishi, sashimi, hot pot, teppanyaki.... go to other all u can eat Japanese buffet if you look for those.
This is a place where if you would like to hang out with a few friends or even a larger group, you won't get ripped off or shocked by the bills but you can still get some good quality food and feel full in your stomach.
Me and my friends basically took the waitress' advice most of the time as some food are not mentioned in the menu. So the key is you've got to open your mouth and ask what is special or good on that day. Having said that, we ordered the popular ones like chicken wings with scallops inside, cheese rice cake (芝士年糕）and many others.
We also tried the house plum wine which is really good, hmm ... can compare with the ones my mom makes let's put it that way just be vain pot hehe 😁
We had a 3 hr dinner and chatted away gaily on many things and not bothered by the girls who kept swearing at the next table. The bill came eventually and we just paid $300 each.
Shall come back again and would recommend people to give it a try.
