Flamingo bloom, when first opened in Central, was one of my favorite drink shops. The cup was so beautifully and designed, the tea balanced very well with milk and the bobas were chewy and not too sweet. At that time I would bring several cups of tea fromCentral back to Kowloon for my family. I went to this TST branch with my family after Father’s Day dinner. We had chrysanthemum tea with boba, oolong tea with boba and watermelon & lemon tea. The watermelon one was very refreshing. I never knew

Central back to Kowloon for my family.

I went to this TST branch with my family after Father’s Day dinner. We had chrysanthemum tea with boba, oolong tea with boba and watermelon & lemon tea.

The watermelon one was very refreshing. I never knew adding lemon would be such a good idea! But the two with boba were totally degraded by the VERY HARD and too sweet bobas!!

We talked to the staff and they just said it was the usual chewy level of their boba, which I knew was untrue. Luckily they later offered to change the bobas to aloe vera pieces so that my dad could enjoy his drink more. But the whole drinks were still a big too sweet for us. Also, my favorite 媟兰茶 was no longer available.

Once branches are opened, quality deteriorates. This shop is no exception unfortunately.
