A meal date at The Captain's House is always something I look forward to. With the lifting of the dining-in dinner ban after 6p.m., of course we had to come again. Peach On The Beach was a bubbling drink with an unexpected transparent colour. It was a very refreshing drink with flavours mostly from lime and mint. Fruit Punch was also a bubbling drink topped by diced fresh green and red apple, pineapple and orange. Definitely not overly sweet yet good to relieve thirst.

There were three types of seafood platter at three prices of $398, $568 and $828 +10% with 3, 5 and 8 types of seafood included respectively. There were 9 types of seafood to choose from, including scallops, snow crab leg, baby abalones, crayfish, shrimp, live mussels, baby octopus, live clams, sea whelk. You could choose lemon butter sauce, cajun garlic butter sauce or pepper butter sauce to go with the seafood. For better value for money, we went for the 3 kinds of seafoods with the most quantity, that is, shrimps, live clams and live mussels. We chose our favourite cajun garlic butter sauce, which was quite spicy this time that made my nose run but I quite liked it. The live clams, all with shells, were quite nice and were obviously fresh but not frozen. The shrimps also came with shells but there were 4 disposable gloves to keep our hands clean. The mussels also came with shells. Apart from the seafood, there were 4 pieces of corn, 1 sausage cut into 5 pieces and 2 giant baby potatoes. They all went great with the sauce. The server tried to mix the seafood well with the sauce inside the bag, before opening the bag in front of us for us to enjoy our seafood.
In addition to the must-order Seafood Platter, we also ordered a few items from their a la carte menu, including an appetiser, a pasta and a dessert to share.

There were around 16 mussels with shells. Some mussels were big and some were smaller. The quality was pretty good as they were all so fresh and tender. We could tell that they were really live and not frozen. The sauce was very delicious as it was just like cream soup with diced onion and garlic which was not overly salty at all. We even finished all the sauce. A very good seafood appetiser!

There was a giant beef meat ball with lots of minced beef which smelt very good. There was a big surprise from the meat ball because it had lava cheese inside which was so cheesy! The meat ball itself was quite dry so it was a good idea to add some lava cheese inside. If there could have been more sauce with the meatball it would have been even better! There was plentiful meat sauce to go with the spaghetti. The spaghetti was those thin type and had the good al dente texture which I liked. The sauce contained some tomato but not really a simple tomato sauce. Some cheese powder and spices were sprinkled on top to enhance flavour. It was very delicious.

It was really a must order dessert. We were so impressed after trying it out for the first time. It was made like a small mountain in a big portion. It was really like a type of thick mousse of cheesecake which was super smooth yet with a lot of cheese cake pieces to add texture. Flavour-wise it was very delicious and not overly greasy or sweet. It was decorated by some fresh strawberries, blueberries and a yellow berry, and just sufficient chocolate sauce. It was one of the best and most creative cheese cakes I had ever had. Would definitely recommend it.
In short, we were really impressed by the new dishes Saute Live Mussels and Bolognese Spaghetti which we tried this time. New York Cheese Cake was simply good like last time.
