If I didn't think about it, I didn't realised I have already eaten at a few places in the Cheung Sa Wan area but never wrote any thing. Anyway 洪庆海鲜烧腊饭店 is supposed to be famous for roasts, as well as some wok fried dishes. During supper, they also supply dim sims for the night goers. I came here one early night and this time they still had roasts left for once!! Its because on prior occasions whenever I came by slightly later at night, they'd already run out. TRIO OF ROAST GOOSE, ROAST PORK AND CHAR SIU RICE -
This I ordered after studying the roast meat display racks and having visually determined they shouldn't be bad. This method doesn't work everytime but it did fortunately for this time! The goose was ok-good, meat had goose taste and it wasn't duck either, skin was slightly crisp too. The roast pork was also pretty good, the crunchy skin fell to the side but it was aromatic, even the meat had a pleasant pork taste to it - not the best meat cut but still enjoyable. The char siu was also surprisingly ok enjoyable, meat was tender and tasty, even though the colour wasn't too appealing.
THIS WAS QUITE GOOD OVERALL.
THE CHAR SIU WOULDN'T BE AS GOOD AS 喜喜 or 再兴 ON THEIR BEST DAYS, BUT THIS IS ALREADY BETTER THAN WHEN THEY HAVE OFF DAYS, WHICH I HAVE EXPERIENCED APLENTY AT 再兴 LATELY.
