For this year’s Father’s Day, we came to this pretty iconic restaurant in wan chai to try out some traditional Cantonese food. My dad is a big fan of the baked fish guts here, it might sound a little weird on paper but it’s really just an airy fluffy frittata with fish guts . My dad is a big fan of the baked fish guts here, it might sound a little weird on paper but it’s really just an airy fluffy frittata with fish guts . This combo might be an extreme food to some but it is actually one of their most popular dishes. The other highlight here was the roasted duck, very juicy and the perfect crispy skin. But my favourite turned out to be the fried salted fish meat loaf. Somehow taking a simple meat loaf and deep frying it in a crispy batter just adds a whole new textural layer to the dish. 🤤🤤🤤 There are still so many things I wanna try out here, looks like I need another special occasion to revisit again.


父亲节我哋嚟咗益新食饭因为爸爸好钟意食呢度嘅焗鱼肠。焗鱼肠未必个个接受到但其实佢只不过系将一啲鱼肠同蛋一齐焗,焗完之后变得好松化几好味嘅,但如果你怕少少腥味或者芫荽味咁可能就唔系好啱你啦。另外呢度必点嘅就系琵琶鸭,烧得唔错,个皮好香脆而且好多肉汁。但系我哋叫咗嘅𩠌菜里面我最钟意嘅反而系鱼香脆玉宝,即系一件炸咗嘅肉饼。原来将一件咸鱼肉饼加咗一层脆皮喺外面可以令到质感上多咗好多层次,加埋咸鱼香,真系非常之下饭。大时大节真系有特别多好嘢食,等我下次又揾啲特别日子嚟呢度再试埋第啲出名嘅𩠌啦。
