Long time no Japanese-style all-you-want-to-eat hotpot given the 4th wave of COVID-19. As it was so cold, maybe it was time to do it again! My lunch partner said this one was newly opened in CWB and suggested trying it out. Great!It was very spacious with 4-seater cart seats nicely separated from each other. Choices were quite a lot!

Broth: 蕃茄薯仔牛粒汤 (bottom) &寿喜烧 (top)
There were four choices of broth, including 九州猪骨汤, 寿喜烧, 蕃茄薯仔牛粒汤 and 重庆麻辣汤. We tried 蕃茄薯仔牛粒汤 and 寿喜烧. Sukiyaki was delicious as always. 蕃茄薯仔牛粒汤 was very rich in tomato which was slightly sweet and delicious too. There was one piece of 牛粒 which was reasonably tender. The broth seemed to be free of MSG as we didn't feel thirsty at all. 一人一锅 was more hygienic if you were coming with a non-family member. The stove was sufficiently powerful that the broth was boiling most of the time.
Meat: 美国牛肉
They were basically 美国肥牛. Actually not too bad, but we decided to switch to 美国极上牛肉 after the first plate.

Meat: 美国极上牛肉
美国极上牛肉 was very rich in beef flavour. Texture-wise, it was tender and not hard to chew! Quality was pretty stable that they remained more or less the same quality for different rounds. I particularly liked how they were not so fatty that we dare eat a few more rounds.

Meat: 纽西兰羊肩肉
纽西兰羊肩肉 smelt a little bit 膻 but didn’t taste so. They were also very tender but relatively fatter. But quality was also stable for other rounds.
Meat: 特选豚肉
They were pork belly slices so were relatively fatter. All slices were very thin.

We also tried many of their other food items, which you filled in an order sheet for the staff to serve you. 牛筋丸 and 贡丸 were very elastic, the latter being pretty juicy with rich flavour of mushroom. 腐皮响铃 had thin sheets and was smooth.

麻吉烧 was very special that it was like a piece of deep fried fish ball with a chewy mochi inside.

Their self-serviced veggie counter had fresh spinach, 油墨菜, lettuce, bak choy, tomatoes, pumpkin, corn, different types of mushrooms, lotus root, eggs, noodles etc. We could use a big white bowl left on our table to take veggies at the counter. Quality was pretty good.

Desserts were ordered on a sheet for the server to bring us afterwards. Again, we tried basically all items. Quality was pretty good, especially green tea soft cream which was very smooth and pretty rich. Vanilla soft cream actually tasted like milk soft cream. It was very very smooth and yummy! It was slightly more frozen than green tea soft cream. You could add toppings to the soft cream at a self-serviced counter though we were too lazy to walk. Durian pancakes had thin pancake wrapping with lots of cream inside but just a little bit of durian cream such that even durian haters might like it. Blueberry cheese cup had some airy cheese cream bottomed by some 木糠 and topped by some blueberry sauce. Oreo chocolate mousse was smooth with some crunchy Oreo cookies on top. Earl grey panna cotta was very smooth and super rich in earl grey tea. Mango pudding was smooth with some fresh mango pieces. All of them were not overly sweet or artificial. Quality was high in general. They even had hot Chinese-style sweet soups like 热香草绿豆沙 and 热冰糖雪耳炖木瓜. 热冰糖雪耳炖木瓜 was not sweet at all and the quality of papaya and 雪耳 was good.
Drinks
Their fridges had a lot of drinks, including different kinds of soft drinks, tea, juices, beer, at your own service. Hot water and tea were also offered.
Seasoning
There was a self-serviced counter with soy sauce, sesame sauce and yuzu sauce as well as other condiments including chopped coriander, parsley, fried garlic, chili, mashed garlic etc.
Soft cream toppings
There was also a counter of soft cream toppings for you to add to your soft cream.
The environment was reasonably nice with comfortable seats. Eaters had to wear mask to go out to take food while most food was actually served to you by the staff. Food items ordered via order sheets were brought to us reasonably soon. In short, very good value for money all-you-can-eat Japanese-style hotpot with pretty high quality food. Very happy to have one more choice in CWB!
