This coffee shop is hidden inside former prison cell in Tai Kwun. It’s very inconspicuous and right behind the staircase. To be frank, I didn’t realise it at all until my colleague invited us for a coffee break. I had a cup of Thai Grandpa. The recipe worked like dirty, but they switched the expresso to a very rich jasmine green tea, which was directly poured over very cold milk. Properly transform the dirty experience to a handcrafted tea beverage! The earl grey mochi bagel was surely my favour

The earl grey mochi bagel was surely my favourite. Not gonna lie, it’s one of the best bagels I’ve had in Hong Kong so far.

It’s served hot, and very crispy. The bread ring was FULLY stuffed with sweet white soft mochi. It’s PHENOMENAL.

I guess the recipe followed the New York-style bagels, which tend to be crispier, maltier and come with fillings. It’s definitely a 10 out of 10 bagel.

The baristas were young and friendly. It’s a unique way to enjoy your coffee time in a former prison space.
