Finally tried out Seventh Son, a one-Michelin star Chinese restaurant 🌟 in Wanchai which has recently opened up a new branch at H Zentre in Tsim Sha Tsui. Pic 1️⃣: 爽滑鲜虾肠 - $90 hkd 🍤
— The cheung fun was really outstanding as they were super silky smooth that was served with a perfectly balanced soy sauce. The shrimp were fresh and had a bouncy texture too!


Pic 2️⃣: 鸡粒荔芋角 - $80 hkd 🐓
— Very light and crispy exterior, the filling was tasty but could’ve done with an extra bit of savouriness with the sauce.


Pic 3️⃣: 怀旧芝麻卷 - $70 hkd 🎞️
— A rare find nowadays and this was pretty good! The sesame flavour was strong and the rolls were very smooth.


Pic 4️⃣: 蜜汁叉烧酥 - $80 hkd 🐷
— The puff pastry was light and flaky, whilst the filling had a good sweet to savoury balance. Loved that it was served nice and hot too!


Pic 5️⃣: 枣茸糕 - $60 hkd
— One of my favourites and must order whenever I see it on the menu! The texture was really on point, super glutinous and chewy, but could’ve done with a richer red date flavour as the coconut-flavoured layer stole the show here.


Pic 6️⃣: 蟹皇蒸烧卖 - $80 hkd 🦀
— A dim sum classic and this was really good! The filling was well seasoned and there was a good shrimp to pork ratio too.


Pic 7️⃣: 香煎萝卜糕 - $80 hkd 🥕
— Slightly disappointed by this as it barely tasted like anything and was quite bland.


Pic 8️⃣: 怀旧鸭脚扎 - $80 hkd 🦆
— Another rare find and this didn’t disappoint. The duck feet was tender and juicy. The beancurd sheet roll was also nicely filled with a good range of ingredients.


Pic 9️⃣: 姜葱牛柏叶 - $80 hkd
— Really delicious dish! The beef omasum was fresh and had a very, crispy yet chewy texture to it. The sauce was well balanced and very flavourful.


Pic 🔟: 蚝皇叉烧包,七福鲜虾饺,凤城蒸粉果,榄仁马拉糕 - $80 hkd (first 3 dishes) & $70 hkd
— All delicious and can’t go wrong with these staples.
