Been seeing Minori Omakase all over Instagram lately so I had to go try it out for myself! 📝 Overall review:
— Very satisfied with the range and variety of fish that was served. The fish was fresh and portion sizes were very decent.
— Among the different pieces, my favourites included the 𫚕鱼，梭子鱼，北海道松叶蟹 and of course the 北海道马粪海胆 and 大拖罗. All apart from the Hokkaido uni, these pieces were uniquely seasoned and prepared, giving them a unique flavour profile which made them stand out
— Though with that being said, I think the other pieces could’ve done with a bit more seasoning, as some of the fish had milder flavours to begin with, which made the piece seem bland at times
— Not usually a fan of sanma rolls, but I really enjoyed the flavours in this, and the addition of marinated white kombu added a nice bit of acidity to it too
— The steamed egg and miso soup were well executed, flavours were rich and everything was piping hot which I loved
— The dessert platter to finish off was also very delightful. My favourite was definitely the cheese ice cream with crunchy honeycomb bits. The yōkan surprised me too as it wasn’t crazy sweet like most. I honestly could’ve done with another round of dessert 😂
⭐️Would visit again?: Good to try! Easy spot to secure a reservation and a good place to start off if you’re trying omakase for the first time 👍🏻
