I have heard about this cafe for quite some time but never got the chance to visit it until this Saturday. Those who are not familiar with Sheung Wan will find it difficult when searching for this place because it is pretty hidden. You need to climb flights of stairs too in order to reach here. Basically this cafe has an outdoor and indoor eating area. The atmosphere is really good, with different kinds of people eating there. You must go there to experience it yourself. Waitress is extremely friendly because they will answer to your queries patiently until you are satisfied.
This is how the cafe looks like. It is not big, so be prepared to queue if it is crowded especially during weekends.
The menu of the cafe
So what would I recommend to try? The two dishes that I would recommend only available after 12.30pm, so make sure you come at the right time if you want to try them out. As for before 12.30pm, they have English breakfast/brunch that you can order too.
First up will be this House bagel - citrus-cured salmon, mixed greens and dill cream cheese. The salmon was fragrant and matched wonderfully with the aroma of the bagel. Every bite of the bagel made me wanting more. The whole dish was light and refreshing.
Next up will be this beautifully-plated dessert. Spiced apple tart - gala apple, cinnamon sugar and homemade vanilla ice cream.The play of spices in the apple tart was spot on. Eating it with their ice cream and nuts was such a pleasure.We were too bored that we tried to play with some latte photography.
