I came here with 3 other coworkers for lunch as I heard the dumplings were pretty good here. The restaurant was old and run-down with no AC. We ordered on a sheet of paper similar to a dim sum ordering sheet with quantity of each item that we wanted. Pan-fried Dumpling ($5 for 2) - this is probably as cheap as you can get at $5 for 2 dumplings. The dumpling was pretty good with plenty of juices on the inside.Pan-fried Pork Bun ($6) - we originally wanted to order the beef bun but since it wasn't ready yet, we ended up with the pork instead. The bun was nicely pan-fried on both the top and bottom while the filling was tasty as well.
Fried Chicken Wings ($22 for 4) - the chicken wings were crispy enough but the meat inside wasn't flavorful at all.
Rice Noodle Roll ($8) - the rice noodle roll was a bit stiff. Just average in my opinion.
Soy Sauce Chow Mein ($13) - the chow mein was really dry and hard.
Scallion Pancakes ($8) - the scallion pancakes were a bit unusual here as they were really thick like a sponge cake almost. The texture was soft enough but the flavor of scallion could have been much stronger.
Wonton ($21) - the pork and vegetable wontons were a bit plain as the filling wasn't that flavorful.
Shanghai Fried Noodle ($35) - the noodles were too oily and again didn't have much flavors to it.
The total tab came out to a measly $40 between the 4 of us for all these food and drinks. It was cheap and alright for what it is, but nothing spectacular that would make me want to come back to endure the seating environment.
