La Station is a cafe run by the owners of Paul Lafayette. The wonderful French pastry shop that is from Hong Kong. With it's popularity, they expanded a few years ago with a cafe, serving sandwiches, salads and coffee of all shapes and sizes. Along with their famous cakes and pastries.

I came here for a late lunch and didn't want anything heavy so I ordered their daily quiche and coffee set for $68. There is no service charge.

The daily quiche that day was tuna. I had never had a tuna quiche and well ... now I remember why. I wasn't a big fan of it. It tasted way too fishy. The crust was lovely. Buttery and flakey. But the quiche all together was a bit of a fail. It wasn't eggy enough. It came with a tiny side of salad made of kale and cherry tomatoes, lightly dressed with a simple vinaigrette which was nice.

As a cafe, I had to try out the coffee. Ordered a latte. Smelled fantastic with a slight nutty flavor. The amount of milk to espresso ratio was perfect. It went down well and I liked it though not as strong as most places.

Friendly service in a quiet area of Wanchai. A good place to stop for a fuel break. It's no wonder it's always so popular whenever I walk by. However, next time, I'll not order the tuna quiche and try something else. Or stick with one of Paul Lafayette's lovely cakes.
