We had a very late snack today. Felt very tired after a day's fooling around New Town Plaza, we decided to eat again to end the day.This restaurant was quite small but they used mirrors to enlarge the vision. This restaurant was quite small but they used mirrors to enlarge the vision. The seats and tables were all in white and light colour, a very refreshing decoration.
The waitress served us with two glasses of warm water when we seated. I was pleased with warm water and was so thirsty that I started to take the water before placing an order. After I have consumed one third of it, I found that there was something stuck to the outer of the plastic glass. It was so disguisting that I asked for a replacement. The waitress replaced it with another one. This one was cloudy and also had something smaller stuck onto it. I finally gave up and just put it aside. I did not want to find more stains.
Ok, returning to the order. We ordered a large Mixed mushrooms Rice Pizza. The pizza was hot although did not seem like sizzling. The rim was crispy and a bit burt (not over burt). There were lots of mushrooms shreds. The mushrooms were of quite strong aroma. They did not use Chinese dried mushrooms. Did the chef know that my partner disliked Chinese dried mushrooms?
They used moderate amount of mozzarella cheese and added mayonnaise on top. Mozzarella cheese gave the effect of an ordinary pizza. I think they added mayonnaise to build up the flavour as the mozzarella they used did not give strong aroma and they did not add in other cheese (in order to save cost?). However, I did not like mayonnaise. And because of the moderate amount of mozzarella used , the pizza pieces could be taken apart with lesser stretchy trail.
Rice Pizza was new to me. I expected a crispy base. To the contrary, only the rim was crispy. The base was just ordinary compressed rice. It was soft in texture with no seasoning. I would prefer the rim to be thicker than the base so that it would look more like an ordinary pizza.
After all, the pizza was not greasy with strong mushroom aroma. They sprinkled thin slices of 鏗魚絲 on top of the pizza. The whole pizza became lively with the 鏗魚絲 flapping. In order to get the best taste, you must have it served hot.
The service was average. The waitress reminded us the last order was at 10:30pm when we entered the restaurant. She reminded us again by asking whether we would like to have desert just before 10:30pm.
The restaurant was small. The seats were put quite closely together. There was not much privacy. Hope they could provide cleaner glasses.
