When it comes to Japanese food, I’ve always have pretty high standards. My theory is that, I’d rather not have any sushi/sashimi if they ain’t the best ones. And here at Cubus tonight, I had some of the freshest and most delicious finds all the way from Japan. All the sushi were amazing. With a super fresh piece of sashimi on top and the warm and moist rice below, the sushi tasted perfect! My favourite would be the sea urchin and the o-toro. The sea urchin was so fresh that it didn’t taste fishy

The sea urchin was so fresh that it didn’t taste fishy at all, just a bit salty and naturally sweet, as if I just had a bite of the ocean.
The o-toro was great too! With all the tendons carefully pulled out by the chef, the o-toro tasted as smooth and soft as ever, and it literally melted in my mouth!

Another memorable dish was the soup. Made from the freshest catch from the sea, the soup had a very rich texture, almost like I was tasting a combination of a thousand fish that went perfectly with one another.

Last but not least, we had 2 simple yet delicious desserts to conclude the meal. I really like the red bean cake that had a nice, soft texture and went very well with the matcha sauce.
hkfoodtour’s official verdict: Absolutely mesmerising meal. Would definitely be back for another gastronomic journey!
