Been meaning to try this place as I'm a huge garlic fan but was slightly disappointed!We were a party of 6 ordered separarte dishes and they all came at very odd times, I guess it's the norm here in Hong Kong as they often assume we all share the plates.To start off…garlic bread was a huge disappointment for me. To start off…garlic bread was a huge disappointment for me. There were a ton of garlic but somehow lacked flavour and seasoning. I'm not even sure how that was possible.
My husband and I had the pork belly and pumpkin pizza. Pork belly also lacked seasoning, if it didn't come with a sauce…it would have been very bland. My pizza was supposed to be spicy but it wasn't, in fact there was a sweet sauce on it. I guess it was ok, crispy base, bits of chicken and pumpkin, what can really go wrong with pizza?! We wrapped up the meal with a garlic apple crumble, I seriously couldn't taste the garlic except for a massive piece sitting on top of the ice cream. Ice cream and garlic isn't my favourite combo……my friend had berries, garlic, and ice cream, she ended up leaving the garlic out as well.
Overall I was pretty disappointed with the food, perhaps I was too excited.
