Trying out this nicely tucked away cafe on a lazy Sunday afternoon. ☕️🍵 Pic 1️⃣&2️⃣: Avocado Crab Egg Salad Bamboo Charcoal Toast - $98 hkd 🥑🍞🦀— Personally thought this looked a lot better than it tasted. Though I will say that they did not skimp on the filling whatsoever as the toast was so stuffed! Unfortunately, it was lacking seasoning and there was barely any crab egg salad in it as well. — Fries were good. Deep fried to order so they’re served to your table super hot and crispy. The okonomiyaki flavour combination works really well as the sauce gives it that extra bit of savouriness. Good to look at and to snack on as well.
Pic 4️⃣: Hojicha Warabi Mochi Cake Roll - $58 hkd 🍰
— Cake roll was pretty good but was slightly underwhelmed by how it was presented. It was so flat and squished!! (purposely had to take the photo like this to accommodate 😂) The cake itself was quite light and airy, with quite a strong hojicha flavour. Loved the chewy warabi mochi in the centre which went well with the lightly sweetened hojicha whipped cream in the centre.
Pic 5️⃣: Minoshirakawa Matcha Latte - $50 hkd 🍵
— There’s a difference between something being rich and something being so bitter it’s undrinkable. This drink falls into the latter. It was so bitter and also unsweetened so I had to ask for extra oat milk and syrup to make it somewhat drinkable. Appreciate them giving you enough matcha powder but damn it’s way too bitter.
