I had a great burger bargain tonight, thanks to Openrice.com for this +$1 to get a pountine on every burger/ hot dog purchase coupon. Yet north point was not the best dinning location for my boyfriend and I, and we barely go to north point. We arrived the restaurant at around 730pm and found the restaurant spaceous, as in not much customers were dining there. we chose to sit at the high table with uncomfortable stool since it seemed to have more privacy.Upon checking the menu, we found this tabl
Upon checking the menu, we found this table stand with the following statement "Wings Night, $3 Buffalo Wings, Every Tuesday. My boyfriend went crazy and talked about his great deal meals in US. I can foresee revisiting the store pretty soon in the future. We decided to order 1 burger, 1 hotdog, 2 poutine and tried the buffalo wings before the wings night. We ended up ordering too much and wasting the poutine.
1) The CBC - The crispy Bacon Cheese Burger
The CBC was served very hot with a chopstick firmly holding the ingredients at place. The burger wasn't particularly huge, but definitely was better than those fast chain burger stores like Mc Donald's or Burger King. The burger was stacked beautifully, sandwiched in a crispy bun. My boyfriend pull out the chopstick at once and starting his big bite on the burger. It was extremely messy to have the burger, the sauce was overly much, it was dripping all over. Since the dressing was loads, the toppings fell out along with the sauces. For the burger patty, it was quite juicy and tender. The burger was generally nice but it won't be listed on my favourite list.
2) The Hotdog
We ordered plain hot dog as we think hot dog matches best in plain with ketchup, mustard and peppers. The hot dog was meticulously prepared, both the bun and the sausage was grilled before serve. I was thrilled to see my bun was grilled, I love the grilled mark on the bun a lot. The bun was hot, slightly crispy on the outside but still soft and light. The sausage was long and fat. We went to the hot dog decoration corner to put on more peppers and sweet relish on our bun. The hot dog was really enjoyable.
3) Poutine
The $1 poutine was a great bargain. The portion was generous, with lots of gravy and melted cheese spread all over the chips. The chips were long and fat but were not as crispy since they were covered in gravy. The gravy sauce was nice and went great with the melted cheese. I just hope the chips can be crispier.
4) Buffalo Wings
The buffalo wings came in as a set of five or ten. Yet when it was served on our table, we found six wings in the basket. The wings were tender and savoury with the buffalo sauce. The buffalo sauce was nice and spicy. The blue cheese was good but not as nice as the BLT Burger's blue cheese, and again was a great match with the buffalo sauce. The wing itself was delicious even without the blue cheese sauce. I guess I would definitely become one of their Wings Night customer then on the becoming Tuesdays.
