The 2023 Michelin guide for Hong Kong and Macau has been released. This is the 15th edition for Hong Kong and Macau, there are 15 newly listed/promoted star-rated restaurant and 6 newly listed Bib Gourmand in Hong Kong. On this year`s list, three special awards were added: the Michelin Guide Sommelier Award, the Michelin Guide Service Award and the Michelin Guide Young Chef Award. In recognition of outstanding performance in the catering industry, a group of professionals who can create an extraordinary gourmet experience for diners.

 Hong Kong 3 Stars Restaurants

Hong Kong Two Stars Restaurants

Compared with 2022, Rùn has been upgraded from one star to two stars, Yan Toh Heen has changed its name to Lai Ching Heen, and Bo Innovation has moved from Wanchai to Central, all of which have re-entered the list. Lung King Heen fell from three stars to two stars.

Hong Kong One Star Restaurants  

Compared with 2022, ESTRO, Kappo Rin and Neighborhood have been upgraded from selected restaurants to one star, while The Chairman has already had one star before the move. Godenya, NAGAMOTO, NOI, and The Demon Celebrity are new restaurants on the list. Aaharn was removed from the list.

Michelin Green Star 

This award recognizes restaurants for their professional sustainable leadership. The elements considered include: the source of materials, the use of seasonal ingredients, the restaurant's environmental footprint, food waste systems, waste disposal and recycling, resource management and communication between staff and customers about sustainability.

Michelin Bib Gourmand  

These are restaurants that you can enjoy high-quality food for only 400HKD or less (does not include three-course meal and drink price). Along with 6 new entries, Tim Ho Wan’s Dim Sum Specialty Store was changed to Sham Shui Po Store on the list, while Cornerstone, Good Hope Noodle, Shugetsu, Noodle Soy Sauce Shop Chow Yuet (Quarry Bay) , and Yixin Restaurant were removed from the list.

Michelin Guide Service Award 

This Service Award aims to recognize and encourage professionals who are outstanding in the industry and possess superb service skills and who enrich the dining experience of guests through their services.

Michelin Guide Sommelier Award 

The Sommelier Awards honor sommeliers who possess skill, knowledge, passion, and talent.

Michelin Guide Young Chef Award

The Young Chef Award aims to recognize young chefs with outstanding talent and potential in Michelin-listed restaurants.
