Semi-Buffet Dinner ExperienceAllow me to share my experience from tonight. Allow me to share my experience from tonight. I had arranged to meet a friend and reminisce about my previous positive experience at Kwoloong Tong Amaroni's several years ago. I made a reservation for 7:00 PM and arrived around 6:50 PM. To kick off the evening, I took advantage of the happy hour offer and ordered a glass of red wine, which came with a buy one get one free promotion. I must admit that the quality of the two glasses of red wine was quite good for the price of 68 HKD.
Before my friend arrived, I approached one of the waiters to inquire about the so-called "Semi-Buffet dinner." Since it had been a long time since I last saw my friend, I asked the waiter if we could stay in the restaurant for a while after the buffet time (90 minutes). The waiter kindly informed me that we could stay, but he reminded us that the restaurant would be closing at 9:30 PM. At that time, it was around 7:20 PM, and my friend had not yet arrived.
At 7:40 PM, without further delay, my friend arrived, and we immediately ordered two sets of the semi-buffet dinner with one main course. Our dining experience went as follows:
At approximately 8:15 PM, a waiter (male) returned to our table and politely reminded us that the last order would be taken at 8:30 PM. This confused us, as we thought we had 90 minutes to be served. However, the reason behind this statement will become clear shortly. Interestingly, at 8:40 PM, when we asked for a refill, one of the waitresses (relatively larger in size) rudely replied, "It's past the last order time already!" It was quite a frustrating response. We settled for refilling our glasses with plain tap water and continued our conversation.
Here comes the most amusing part. At exactly 9:00 PM, the same rude waitress informed us that it was time to leave, saying, "OUR RESTAURANT is closed now, please leave!" We had no choice but to exit at 9:02 PM. Notably, they had already cleared the Semi-Buffet table at around 8:45 PM, replacing it with regular dining tables and seats.
Now I finally understand why the restaurant was only 15-20% filled with customers. I certainly won't be returning to such a place with such poor service and disappointing food. It was a truly disheartening experience.
半自助晚餐體驗
讓我分享今晚的經歷。我與朋友安排了一次閒聊,並回憶起幾年前在九龍塘亞瑪尼餐廳的美好經歷。
我預訂了晚上7:00的位置,大約在6:50到達。在歡樂時光期間,我成功預訂了買一送一的紅酒。老實說,以68港幣的價格來說,兩杯紅酒的品質是一個不錯的選擇。
在朋友到達之前,我諮詢了一位服務員關於所謂的「半自助晚餐」。因為我已經很久沒有見到朋友了,我問服務員我們是否可以在自助餐時間(90分鐘)之後在餐廳多待一會兒。服務員友好地回答說我們可以留下,但提醒餐廳將在晚上9:30關閉(當時約為晚上7:20,朋友還未到)。

最有趣的部分是,準時在晚上9:00,同一位粗魯的女服務員告訴我們時間到了,她說:「我們的餐廳現在已經關閉,請离開!」我們別無選擇,只能在晚上9:02離開。更不用說,在晚上8:45左右,他們已經清理了半自助餐桌,恢復為普通用餐桌和座位。
現在我終於明白為什麼餐廳只有15-20%的客人。我肯定不會因為這種糟糕的服務和令人失望的食物而再次光顧這樣的地方。這真是一個讓人沮喪的經歷。

A positive aspect worth mentioning is that they offered a 15% discount on the bill because I made the reservation through the OpenRice app.
