Have always been curious about this restaurant due to its popularity here, but whenever my boyfriend and I walked past it, they were way too many people waiting in line. We gave it another try this afternoon, and we finally had lunch there.Perhaps it was due to its popularity that the waitresses didn't seem to care much about the customers. Perhaps it was due to its popularity that the waitresses didn't seem to care much about the customers. When we were next in line, there was a table for four left empty with used dishes unattended. It took the waitress five minutes just to clear the table and asked us to have a seat.
On a side note, I was really ticked off by the paper-thin plastic cup. The wooden chopsticks were at least forgivable as a lot of restaurants still use them, but the disposable plastic cups were unforgivable.
北海道忌廉烏冬 - tasted alright but seriously overpriced
鰻魚飯 - the eel was made to order and fresh, but the rice was overcooked and too watery
天婦羅 - this was made to order as well and really crispy, but the shrimps were definitely not fresh
I would say the restaurant's popularity is partly to blame for its sub-par service and overpriced food.
