香港街頭小食大都離不關雞蛋仔、格仔餅、燒賣、魚蛋等,西關老祖卻偏偏另闢蹊徑,主打揉合創意的懷舊小食,2022年曾經來過一試印象深刻,不久後更獲得《香港澳門米芝蓮指南 2023》必比登推薦,個人認為絕對實至名歸。單看藍白色文青風門面或會令人誤會是間咖啡店,以外賣為主而門外只設有一個堂食座位,客人需於自助點餐機下單,並只可以八達通、信用卡或電子錢包付款而不接受現金。相比上次到訪餐牌已經有所更新,但仍少不了西關瀨粉、炸黑毛豬肉粽、極黑黯然銷魂飯等招牌菜式,即點即製之餘黑毛豬油、辣菜脯、XO醬、麻辣油等大部分食材均為自家製造,誠意十足。極黑·黯然銷魂飯 ($66)有別於一般粵式燒味叉燒,選用西班牙杜洛克黑毛豬腩肉製成,軟嫩豐腴充滿油香,切成薄片故肥而不膩,叉燒汁更帶蜜汁甜味。煎雙蛋燶邊香口,雖然飯量較配料更多,但蛋漿與豬油一同滲入白飯,即使單獨品嘗飯底依然無懈可撃。XO醬·爆炒腸粉 ($38)腸粉炒至表面微微焦脆,質感軟滑但毫不軟爛,自家製XO醬用上蝦米、瑤柱、金華火腿等炮製而成,微微辛麻香辣但整體口味不如預期中濃重。西關瀨粉 ($32)手工瀨粉沿用廣東西關古法以粘米粉製成,質感柔韌有致,湯
