中學老死聚舊,四月負責訂檯,來BLT Steak並不是因為喜歡吃扒,純粹是跟樓上的BLT Burger搞錯了,再次証明我是有讀寫障礙的。不過錯有錯着,BLT Steak可以望見維港迷人的夜景,我們7個人自成一角,說話大聲一點也不擾民。我們最期待的是Gruyère Popovers,印藉女店員彷彿知道我們心意,笑着叫我們等一下,態度非常親切。在這兒,它可能比牛扒更具人氣,因為形狀跟豬手很像,所以我們戲稱它為「豬手麵包」。其實在網上很容易查到相關食譜,主要材料是把奶、麵粉、鹽、蛋和Gruyère cheese混在一起,以300多度烤焗。出來的成品,顏色金黃,麵包外脆內軟而且中空,麵粉比較濕潤,口感軟軟香香的,令人難忘。前菜先點了Caesar salad和smoke bacon,前者用料非常新鮮,菜葉都是完整一塊塊,而且塗湖了醬汁的。芝士的鋪排跟一般不太一樣,溶成兩片像麵包薄脆一樣的脆片。後者的賣相非常中式,我甚至覺得有點像我們的廣東燒味。煙肉軟軟嫩嫩的口感令人很意外,口感像半肥瘦叉燒一樣爽爽滑滑。聽從店員的建議,我們點了一份38oz的美國T骨及另一款肉眼扒,兩者均選擇medium。鐵盤內牛
