 Wall of 'Lucky Cat's hang and greet us as you walk down the steps! Remember, WIFI is terrible down there. Ask for WIFI/Password- the staff happily gives it to you! The space is dark, loud, and lounge-like. It's laid back with a lot of simple black furniture against dark stone walls! Alright, enough about the decor. Lets FEAST!

 Hamachi, Cucumber, lemon jam, horseradish, puffed buckwheat $168. Really spicy!! I loved the fresh, tangy and spicy hamachi fish. The puffed buckwheat crackers popped absolutely lovely with the horseradish, lemon jam and smooth hamachi texture. Mmmmmm.

 Taiwanese Style Lu Rou Fan, 5-Grain Rice, Pickled Daikons $68... LOVEEEEEE! I loveeee Lu Rou Fan, I always have. The Taiwanese in me.! It's honestly one of my favourite comfort foods to eat. This HLF one was packed with meaty, fatty pork pieces, sweet soy sauce and the nice crunch of the pickled daikons. I LOVED IT. Its a small bowl. So perhaps order more, if your going with a group!

The short ribs were very high quality meat- it was unbelievably moist, juicy and tender! I loved the spicy heat of the jalapenos and sauce, and had a tangy vinegar flavour that went perfectly with the soft tender wagyu short ribs. I only wished I had an extra stomach....SIGH! So good.

 Fried Cauliflower, brussel sprouts, maple bacon chilli jam $88. This was nice, fun and flavourful. We needed some veggies and this really did the trick. I liked the heat that the cauliflowers packed along with the sweet maple bacon (bits) chilli jam!
Ho Lee Fook is GREAT for groups! I really liked it. Girls night- success!

    My friends and i were hanging around Soho, caving for some chinese food. When we walk up Elgin Street, the open kitchen and the wall of mahjong from them got our attention, i wonder how many sets they used on that wall. (lol)We went in around 6:45, got a table right away and there was a return time at 8:45, very reasonable timing for dinner just for 4. Once we set down, servers started approving us. Asking are we first time diners, explaining their best selling dishes, how they prepared they own

    We went in around 6:45, got a table right away and there was a return time at 8:45, very reasonable timing for dinner just for 4. Once we set down, servers started approving us. Asking are we first time diners, explaining their best selling dishes, how they prepared they own roasted meat?! Really? they roasted by themselves? YES.
    We have ordered quite a number of dishes, such as "Mon's Mostly Cabbage Dumplings, with a bit of pork", Tomatoes Salad, Chef Special Risonni, Lo mien, Lu Rou Fan, Roasted Goose.etc. I personally had a lot of Dumplings in my life but this... speechless! It tasted FANTASTIC. Coz normally Dumplings filled with minced pork but this filled with pork neck. I should have taken a picture but my friend ate one the minute dishes arrived. Ar.....
    2nd dish which suprised me was the Chef Special Risonni. Stir-Fried Rice shape pasta with goose, pea AND lots of fresh black truffles on top! OH my god, the amount of black truffles covered 80% of the "Rice". Can you image that? Price wise only $358. Pretty resonable.
