What’s better than a Sunday brunch? That’d be a Sunday brunch with booze! Meats on Staunton Street has an amazing menu that’s pretty hard to beat. Just $290 per head, you get 2 starters to share, 2 mains, sides and dessert to share and a glass of beer/wine per person. No wonder this place is always so packed! For starters, we had chicken wings and a salad. Chicken wings dipped in blue cheese simply couldn’t go wrong. We had the hanger steak (+$45) and chicken waffle for mains. The hanger steak was SO GOOD- so tender and juicy. It was served with Korean bbq jalapeño relish and house fries. Definitely my favourite dish of the day!
The chicken waffle was pretty nice too, with avocado spread over the waffles which were unfortunately a tad soggy.

For sides, we had the “Slightly Spicy Fried Rice”. It’s basically a Korean kimchi fried rice done in a Western way. Pretty delicious and I really liked the soft-boiled egg on top!

Last but not least, we had a coconut lime pie to share. The ice cream went perfectly well with the lime curd and meringue.
