I was there to get some Lamma Marshmallows so I got a few bags, one for myself and one for friends.

The lady said they could keep for a week in the refrigerator so I put them in the refrigerator.

On the day that I was going to give the marshmallows, I tried my bag to see if they still taste OK, and they were OK, so the owner did not lie.

After uploading the photos on the PC, I noticed they had mini coconut tarts on the left.
If I saw it when I was there, I would have tried it too.

Lamma Marshmallows:
The marshmallows were really nice, heavily coated with dessicated coconut and there was lots of peanut and crispy rice in the middle.
The sweetness was just right and the standard has kept since the last time I tried it.

早前從網上得知麥當勞為了響應太平清醮齋戒的傳統,特意於長洲分店一連三天停售所有肉類、奶類及蛋類食物與飲品,並且同時推出一款「脆香素菇包」。知食友 SSG 向來是個包迷,而且亦特別偏愛素食,所以在臉書上給她發了這段訊息。想不到這甜姐兒傻勁十足,竟然於佛誕假當日,真的走去長洲同人迫;不過當抵達時,發現碼頭擠得水洩不通,人頭湧湧人,於是又決定轉往南丫島一遊,並為我帶來了島上特產作小手信,一小袋的特製花生椰絲棉花糖,真是感激。其實初頭獲食友相告這一小包是棉花糖時,還預期會有入口即化、輕柔鬆軟的口感,估唔到原來這棉花糖外層竟然全被椰絲密密包裹,咬落帶淡淡的椰香,而餡芯則是軟棉棉的棉花糖,再夾雜著不少香脆的花生粒,吃起來又軟又脆,口感非常特別,真的要再次謝謝食友的一番心意。

想不到這甜姐兒傻勁十足,竟然於佛誕假當日,真的走去長洲同人迫;不過當抵達時,發現碼頭擠得水洩不通,人頭湧湧人,於是又決定轉往南丫島一遊,並為我帶來了島上特產作小手信,一小袋的特製花生椰絲棉花糖,真是感激。

其實初頭獲食友相告這一小包是棉花糖時,還預期會有入口即化、輕柔鬆軟的口感,估唔到原來這棉花糖外層竟然全被椰絲密密包裹,咬落帶淡淡的椰香,而餡芯則是軟棉棉的棉花糖,再夾雜著不少香脆的花生粒,吃起來又軟又脆,口感非常特別,真的要再次謝謝食友的一番心意。

It was such a sweet surprise from Sinmei, thank you so much!

Before I tried them I did not know what to expect because in Chinese they are meant to be marshmallows but in English they are called Peanut candy according to their labeling.

When I opened the bag, the smell of dessicated coconut was really nice and coconutty just like toasted coconut.

The texture of it was soft and nothing like a nougat, after I took a bite, it turned out to be marshmallow so the Chinese labelling/description is more accurate.

The marshmallows were lovey and soft with some chew to it.

This is the best marshmallow I have tasted. The coconut gave the marshmallow a really nice taste and there were pieces of peanuts in it too!

The big secret is the crispy crunch.
Most people think that the crunch comes from the peanuts which I almost did as well but it was not the peanuts.

After tasting it carefully I realized the crispy crunches were coming from pieces of toasted rice in it.

The marshmallow is a must get item from Lamma!!

After reading the reviews, it appears the price is roughly the same as four years ago, but you get fewer pieces per bag!

I wish I tried these marshmallows a few years ago!
Although they seem expensive, the taste is amazing, and they are slightly cheaper than a macaron.

Once again, Thank you Sinmei for these lovely scrummy marshmallows.

蛋撻倒是剩下不少,鐵皮托著酥鬆的蛋撻,即使隔著花花的塑料蓋子,每一隻蛋撻依然散髮嬌嫩的艷黃色,雞蛋層也是看得出的濕潤滑溜,牛油酥皮亦做的較薄,大小適中,只售三蚊一個價格也是親民的。

一向愛吃蛋撻,更愛酥皮底的我更要多買一個來試試島上的味道;蛋撻正如先前提到,牛油酥皮做的較薄,如此口感就變得十分酥鬆,輕輕咬一口略有層層酥皮口感的酥鬆撻身便已經散落一嘴,隨沒什麼牛油香,但撻身乾濕適中也夠松夠酥;主角燉蛋是極為香甜的,吃在嘴裡濕濕潤潤帶些微涼,燉蛋嫩的一碰即碎,甜度亦比出面的蛋撻要稍低些,不覺膩。

標榜【外軟內脆】的花生糖有一個超長的中文名,基本涵蓋所有特質,花生糖的本質,加上外層過得厚厚一層的椰絲,口感則有別於普通花生脆糖那樣是偏硬的脆口,這一袋一袋的花生糖則可比擬棉花糖的口感。小小一袋裝裏面大致有5-6條花生糖,要價11蚊大洋,價錢是不是有些略貴了?至少個人是這麼覺得,不過看著滿滿一袋都是白雪雪的椰絲,錢這種身外之物也就不糾結那麼多了。

迫不及待打開包裝袋,便兩三口一條的邊晃邊吃起來,我真不是一個淑女;方磚形的花生糖捏在手裡是輕軟的,面層覆著厚厚一層椰絲,手感上可以用”毛茸茸“來形容;咬一口便覺此花生糖獨一無二的真諦之處,口感完全與傳統花生脆糖背道而馳,口感頗為柔軟,咬開中間混著些麥芽糖的花生餡效果好似建達繽紛樂中間的榛子醬,軟滑粘膩;口味卻出奇的清新,完全不過甜,花生餡部份亦有不少花生碎粒夾在其中,雖然有麥芽糖但一點不會粘牙,再加上外層的椰絲,椰絲本無太大的味道,貴在其絲絲歷歷的增添口感上的變化;外軟內脆,四個字說的一點不差!花生糖外部結合軟綿椰絲以及柔韌麥芽糖,就好似半凝固的軟醬一般柔軟又潤滑,而裏面包著的花生餡因為粒粒花生碎以及少量麥芽糖蜂窩結構的脆粒,而變得脆脆地,脆的輕巧,不用牙力。

如果問我這個11蚊花的值不值,我可能會陷入長時間的糾結中,單談這袋花生糖給我的驚喜,個人是十分喜愛的,無論是口感還是口味都做到店家自稱的【獨一無二】與【特質】,但到底兩三分鐘不到的時間就讓我幾口清光的花生糖要我掏出11蚊來買單,還是覺得享受的過程太過短暫,請原諒我的斤斤計較吧~~

吃了一口令人氣餒的格仔餅,確實心有不甘,唯有另尋慰籍。轉個頭望見這間極細小的麵包舖,隱約記得有不少好評,就來買件餅試試....看到雞批的色水賣相像是對版,不過買了一個要花七大洋,絕不是想像中的便宜。試一下那個批皮,不鬆化也不夠甜,只能說不是自己喜愛的那杯茶,而且餡料太"糊"了;餡料只能吃到一兩片蘑菇,雞粒或是火腿等皆全然欠奉;另外不好吃的最重要關鍵,當然是熱度是一點都不足夠....有點奇怪為何這裡有那樣多的好評或者可能是有其他的店自慢的出品小弟未知悉了吧。不過若是單論這個雞批的話,卻是絕對不值這個收費....

Wandered pass this place on the Main St on my way to Sok Kwu Wan and I was in the mood for bread, so I bought an egg tart and pineapple bun. The egg tart was alright - nothing special. The filling was cooked a little too much for my tastes - not really slurp-able, which is how I like it. The crumbly top actually stuck to the bread and didn't fall off in the bag like it does at most nearly every other bakery out there. To top it off, the bread was soft through and through and the topping wasn't too dry either! PERFECT. On my first bite I immediately thought, "Dang, this is the best pineapple bun I've ever eaten!" (And yes, I've eaten quite a few!)

Definitely would spring for another pineapple bun the next time I'm on Lamma. The two together cost me $7.5 - I don't know what the individual prices were though.

就算身上只有十八元,也要買這裡著名的棉花糖。十一元四塊的手製棉花糖,不像平日吃到的一般棉花糖潔白鬆軟,略帶煙韌,勝在沒有棉花糖時常出現的人工甜味和怪味。每一口都有花生香,外層鋪滿椰絲,是沒有包裝的好味。老闆娘好好人,就是她告訴我島上沒有銀通櫃員機。

吃完brunch, 飲完expresso, 搓搓肚皮,出發上課;brunch的食物雖然可口,但總覺得不夠滿足.....就是欠了一點甜!沿著榕樹灣大街走,路經佳佳;佳佳只是一間街坊小店,沒有華麗的裝潢,也沒有浮誇的香氣飄出;要不是剛好前頭的遊客檔路,平素「眼大睇過龍」開的大慒太公就會將之錯過。但眼睛一觸到此店,就被放在門口的一袋袋棉花糖吸引;外軟內脆的棉花糖,未試過。再看價錢.....哇!好貴!11個大洋才四小塊!猶疑了一會;算,人一世物一世,都來到南丫島,就買一包試試。一試,驚為天人;首先,太公本身很喜歡吃棉花糖,但這種新鮮鬆軟的棉花糖已不好找;就算有,通常都過甜;難得這棉花糖甜度適中,又夠煙韌,加上碎花生和椰絲,口感和味道皆一流。本來打算回程時再買一包;但三點半再路經此店,卻已關門大吉,想多買一包回家也不能;在此奉勸各位,若想一會佳佳的棉花糖,記得要早!

本來打算回程時再買一包;但三點半再路經此店,卻已關門大吉,想多買一包回家也不能;在此奉勸各位,若想一會佳佳的棉花糖,記得要早!

在農舍吃完海風早餐之後, 就在附近四處走走, 路過這裡, 想起上次來的時候, 跟傳說中的限量手製花生椰絲棉花糖 ($10) 緣慳一面, 而這天, 終於再跟它遇上了。就是這一包, 孤伶伶地躺在鐵盤子裡, 靜待有心人帶它回家。那個有心人, 呵呵, 便是我囉!出市區之後約了個朋友傾些東西, 也就把花生椰絲棉花糖分吃了; 棉花糖極煙韌, 手打的質感果然不同, 不似機製的鬆泡泡的; 上面有些椰絲, 所以初時我誤以為它是糯米糍呢! 棉花糖內有脆脆的花生粒, 一脆一軟的, 很是香甜好味。可是談的東西令人有點沮喪, 這美味的小甜點算是當中的一點慰藉吧。

佳佳麵包店嘅麵包由細食到大la,質素一路都冇變過,佢啲麵包嘅texture比較soft,唔係焗到香脆嗰隻,但就啱我口味 我覺得佢哋最正嘅係丹麥條,棷撻&蛋撻,次次一出爐都吸引啲人圍住買.其他嘅都係啲經典麵包如雞尾包,菠蘿包,腸仔包等...選擇唔多,冇咩花款,但味道都ok!佢哋嘅麵包都係出一底,通常到咗noon就賣到七七八八,三點左右就收鋪喇另外假日會出一隻棷絲花生棉花糖,幾好食,我次次都買唻過口癮ga!

我覺得佢哋最正嘅係丹麥條,棷撻&蛋撻,次次一出爐都吸引啲人圍住買.其他嘅都係啲經典麵包如雞尾包,菠蘿包,腸仔包等...選擇唔多,冇咩花款,但味道都ok!
佢哋嘅麵包都係出一底,通常到咗noon就賣到七七八八,三點左右就收鋪喇
另外假日會出一隻棷絲花生棉花糖,幾好食,我次次都買唻過口癮ga!

對一眾弟兄姊妹來講, 這個復活節假期係相當之忙碌, 對頌揚人係更加, 不停的加班, 終於唱出來的獻祭應該係讓神悅訥的.假期的最後一天, 終於係兩個人的天地, 見之前KC兄的南丫島之旅係好吸引, 又想來個加強版, 即係去埋索罟灣個邊. 半日不停吃吃吃, 辛苦文迪了.第一站先試了這家係大街的麵包店, 由碼頭慢慢行過來, 一陣就到. 買的不是麵包, 而係此店自家製的花生椰絲棉花糖.花生椰絲棉花糖$10: 8分, 一包有4粒, 棉花糖吃落口幾有咬感, 入面有花生, 椰絲, 芝麻等等, 材料豐富. 加入了花生的棉花糖, 係一口椰絲當中, 又有些咬口, 幾喜歡這個小食.
